I want to make some custom rims for beamng, and I have no clue were to start. I have the model and textures done, but I need support on starting. There is nothing in the wiki about it so does anyone want to help? I want to start today ;)

    EDIT
here are some pics of the wheel im trying to make.

    No textures:

What size of tire those are?

For easy way, you could take official file of similar size and change it to use your model.

Position it to 0, 0, 0 and have center at center of wheel, like official wheel file, which you probably have spied upon already.

This is what Wiki has about wheels I guess:

I have viewed that page, also yes ;) I will make multiple sizes based on the official ones. ;)
Idk the real sizes of the wheel but the more the better :p

Just remember width in pressure wheels is width of the tread, not width of the tire, those are bit different.

I haven't never made a wheel, I don't know how different it is from making other parts, but I guess same things apply mostly. Then again I don't know how much you know about making other parts?

Update: One thing came to my mind, tire and wheel had to be separate parts, not sure if even this helps you though.

It sort of does help. I know how to make other parts for vehicles I just never do. Also I might just take in game wheels and modify them. That is probably the easiest way, and i know i'm allowed to do that. I would have to edit it a lot so its not just a Russian mesh swap

You have a wheel done though, you could just export that and see how wonderfully it explodes in Beam? :D

Thing being old is that all this information is kind of hiding in this fog that is everywhere, but now I did remember other place in Wiki that had something about wheels, that might be actually useful for you:
    https://wiki.beamng.com/Vehicle_Creation_Workflow

If you scroll bit down there is picture of a wheel and above it there is information about side count which might be important.

Hi, i would suggest you to create you model, like you did, and the resize the rim as close as possible to the official rims with the dimension you want, then you can just borrow the jbeam and tires from official wheels
