About the Sunburst.

I was thinking about the Sunburst... People say it was based of a subaru. You see the back to me doesn't look a subie to me. Out of interest was the back of the Sunburst based off of a Mazda 6. It has such a simularity. Take a look.

Sunburst is smaller than Mazda.
Also oh crap, not a ''what is *insert BeamNG car* based on'' thread again.

 

The Mazda picture I showed is modified with a bumper and spoiler. Also If anything I see it being more similar to Mazda than subaru.

 

Again, Sunburst is compact and Mazda is midsize.

 

I'm pretty sure it takes styling cues from multiple different cars. Subaru is definitely in there, along with Mazda 6 and maybe a pinch of Lancer.

 

Yes it is a compact. That doesn't give a excuse to NOT add in a touch of Mazda in there.

 

Very much of this, same is true with all cars in BeamNG, they take interesting parts (for Gabester) from many cars, blend them together as a new cars that are creations of Gabester, not car X or Y.

Surely rear lights are Mazda inspired, or then some tuning light inspired, maybe even Lexus inspired, I think Lexus had similar kinds too, there is some Lancer, there is some Impreza, many things, but I doubt it is based on anything else than Gabester's imagination.

Inspired and based, there is a difference I think.

 

That I think we know that they just jumbled cars to for one. Not just some a downed version of a subaru. I was just interested in your thoughts if you too think theres some Mazda in there.

 

Rear lights might be inspired by these Mazda rear lights

 

The left one resembles the Sunburst. Although the right ones look abit too agressive.

 

Outline might be from that agressive one with modifications and 'eye' from other, but it's still nothing alike, just some similar shapes.


What I believe is that Gabester has looked interesting shapes and blended those to something that has same kind of vibe.

 

They're BRZ/GT86/FR-S inspired tail lights.

The late gen Ibishu Pessima is definitely based on a Mazda 626.
