Have you checked who/if it is folding for? I've seen 2-3 people not folding because the client is going funny.
    Edit: Here

That is actually a really great idea. My schools computer labs are never used. There have to be at least 100 of those things. I'm not too sure about the hardware, all I know is that they are i3s, but if I'm ever in there ever again, I'll look into it.

My school runs machines that could hit 10k ppd each (probably 1000 machines) but installing software on them gets up to a $5000 fine and getting kicked out. (Repeating the grade) For $5000 I could build a machine pushing 400k ppd. (They run minimum i3s and hd 7730s.) 10,000,000 ppd is tempting though.

Well. It's not my computer. I literally mean sneaked. :p
Set it up so that no one will find it... and it will continue folding unto eternity.

But if they figured out it was a charity cancer thing, they still wouldn't care. Cause that's how the government works.

    Good luck brave one. ;)
They would. I imagine the power bill+slowing down the computers would make them mad. I got in trouble for opening paint.net off my own thumb drive. :/

Sounds like a bunch of tightwads.

A bit off-topic thing that I am working on but at least somewhat relevant being computer related; working on making a setup of floppy drives to produce some music with. I have ordered some things I'll need, an Arduino UNO, some jumper wires, and I have obtained an old 350w psu from a friend and got all the software up and running. Drives themselves probably going to be ripped from some old Pentium III computers at school. If any of you are interested to see what sort of sound you can get from these, here is a video:

Got my GTX 770 to a quick 1306mhz. Nothing except fan and PT changed. Going to work more tomorrow. Folding for now.
    (Also new avvy, still me)

Awesome. With my birthday coming up soon, I might just ask for some money to upgrade my system and get myself 770 as well.

    770 won't fold. :/ 13 days per wu. 537 ppd.
It's the drivers fault, need to find a good one. Gaming is 2-4 times faster at 1306/stock vs my 7770 at 1200/1444

Why does it take 13 days per WU?

Hmm. My 7870 generates ~60k points per day at 1.2GHz.

The compute was crushed on all none gk110 cards since like 314.07. It separates the gk107 (or 104?) from gk110, then Titan. The 770 used to push 80k ppd.

Can you just use the older drivers then?

314.07 came before the 770 was released. :/ Going to try other drivers Friday, today is busy. Gaming is amazing though. Maxed out BNGD with issues (tons of huge grey blobs) all casting shadows it maxes at 50 fps. It runs heaven "maxed" at 1280x1024 at 30 minimums 100 maxes, stock boost to 1253. I'm sure my 1306 is better, but I haven't tested. I'm going to go for the 2ghz memory a reviewer got and a 1350-1400 core clock. How do you go about changing voltage with EVGA precision? I know it only goes to 1.212, but that might get me higher clocks. Debating between going for max clocks or lower (like 50-100mhz core 100 memory) overclocks, and undervolting.

I would beg to differ on the front of the new drivers crushing compute on GK104. Many have actually reported sizable gains using the latest beta, a borked install is my thought here. The new 14.1 Mantle driver for AMD has certainly helped 7900 series, people reporting 125KPPD plus on 7950s over at OCN (with minimal overclocks). :D

Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects.

The card hits between 1306 and 1351 with no voltage or pt changes. 1306 is the latest stable one I have tested. Memory hasn't been overclocked yet. OTOH, I haven been able to change voltage with EVGA precision. No matter what I try. :/

My install is borked, very borked. CPU won't fold now, and it will not add a gpu slot. Guess it didn't like the transition from amd to nvidia. Still, folders over at THG have seen massive ppd drops apparently.

Is there a way to clean my windows? I've used ccleaner and nuked stuff I don't need, but my windows is a slug. I can reinstall windows, but it isn't worth my time until it gets horrible.

Well, never mind. Not getting on today or tomorrow. Apparently I'm in trouble for telling my little brother to do something for me when we weren't supposed to be on the thing. I thought I was the only one grounded, but NOPE! I just wanted to check a few temps for folding and try minecraft. (It's borked too) I got grounded for being up too late because I was installing the drivers. (Sorry it doesn't stop) I called bullcrap (not literally, years of punishment in my house for that.) but pretty much got told to shut and and deal or it'll be worse. Also told to read some of psalms to know why I should learn to not talk, even when I want to.
Sorry if I sound a bit whiny, but I think it's wrong. At least I'm folding for the next 3 days (maybe; the CPU wasn't working when I left, and it might be unplugged and boxed until Saturday. Screwed up thing is, I'd have to box it up. No one else knows how and would screw it up if they did)
