So literally 5 mins ago as of writing this, a lady bug was in my room (in winter for some reason) and flew onto my screen, but it only flew on when a video was playing, it must have been a ill lady bug since it died from just getting it off my screen, I felt sad about this since it was only trying to go through winter and I mistaked it for a fat fly (don't ask why) and in respect for the poor survivor, I decided to put this here on the only forum I can really think of.

So you killed carnivorous predator, that eats other beings and now you feel bad about it? Maybe you saved a life of several by doing so?

That thing finds children yummy, egg and larvae of other insect is part of it's diet.

But most of its prey are pests who, in turn, show absolutely no mercy for poor defenseless plants...

I can sympathize with you @DoveAndPigeonFan, especially because it was a ladybug. However, I would feel no remorse for killing a mosquito or a housefly, so I guess I don't feel bad for killing all bugs.

Yep, I hate when I have to kill a ladybird (ladybug in the US) but I wouldn't care about a fly or mosquito and I hate wasps and spiders, which should all die, particularly spiders (I have got bad arachnophobia). Plus, I've got a group of ladybirds living under my window sill (on the outside of house) and they all go into the room on the 5th of November because of the fireworks display about 50 metres from my house (I open the window).

That is of course true and as scientist have found out, even plants feel pain (maybe not pain as we understand, but there is impulses like in nervous system when damage occurs), but I was trying to show support for poor individual who felt bad for killing ladybug.

Then again, species of fufsgfen are not best known for their abilities in empathy.

i don't mind spiders I LOOOOOOVE SPIDERS spider's are yuor frends

In all seriousness, spiders don't bother me too much. I just let them be, or I let them outside.

Millipedes are pretty cool too, but I crush every fcuking centipede I see...

Killing mosquitos is straight up f*cking satisfying, the little blood sucking bastards.
I try not to kill spiders though since they're super helpful in getting rid of annoying insects like flies etc.

Spiders are good and useful. I used to kill them, now I just transplant them before the girldriend finds them, lol

I have had to kill a centipede before. It bit/stung my girl in her sleep and thus had only one destiny.

I regret killing spiders. They deserve a life too!

I do feel sad when killing bugs sometimes. Mostly ants. Other bugs, get em out of my house, but I’m more sympathetic towards ants.
