I don't think that's that modern. It kind of resembles a mixture of streamline moderne architecture of the 30s & 40s, and 1970s/80s postwar modernist architecture. I think it suits the city and brand well.

Im not really longing for scratches ingame, although it would be nice as long as it was not simply a texture added on top of the body, thatll just feel fake. Dirt textures that blends onto the body though would be nice. Afaik Beamng has developed the game engine so that it uses very little of the Torque3D base at this point, more or less developed into its own, so its up to devs to do changes/upgrades to things like the graphics part of the engine.

I dunno that has this been discussed yet about, but in recent times I've started to think more about the car propotions and weight and strenght of the invidual parts. Currently, it feels kinda odd, that you have this supposedly small hatchback Covet, which is almost the same size as Moonhawk, which is a big full size american coupe. I could be wrong about this, but I don't think that the propotions are correct yet.

Then we come into the bigger thing I've been thinking. The cars tend to feel light and all of the doors, boot lid and bonnet feel and look like they've made from cardboard or glass fiber. Would be nice to hear, that have the devs been thinking this aspect on the game yet, because of course, wobbly body panels do not look or feel realistic. In real life, those parts consist some pressed sections to give them some more ridigy in terms of crash safety and body stiffness. I know, it sounds like a shitload more work to do, but obviosly, since this game is aiming for very realistic gameplay, those things should be considered as well. :)

I think that Moonhawk might be closer to a Pony car in size and weight?

Yea, even thou it doesn't look like one, it has more of that fullsize style. But also, if you look the other cars, the propotions are a bit off. Yet again, might be wrong about it, would be nice to hear from the devs themselves, if there's some sort of explanation to this.

The moonhawk is NOT fullsize. The very nature of it being a coupe should tell you that, it's midsize at best.

There were fullsize coupes i.e. Caprice, Coupe de Ville. I doubt the Moonhawk is quite on that level though. It is quite a heavy car, to be sure.

Maybe if it does eventually get added to the game, I'll be playing beam on a desktop computer. With 30+ fps
I'm sure I'll end up needing it.

Lincoln MK IV was biggest Coupe I think, it is longer and heavier than most wagons:

    Look on the bright side..
    1. For that to be implemented, either jBeam accuracy or another feature will need to be implemented, making crashes slightly more realistic
    2. For either option, tons of optimization will be needed on the physics engine

Well, they better optimise the heck out of the game before the release of Italy

How about part clipping, is that something that devs might look more in the later part of the development ? Getting some grey hairs and losing my nerves, when you are doing demolitions with other AI cars and the cars clip together from different parts. Wheels especially are super prone to clip with doors and bumpers.

I know, I'm really not sure why this hasn't been fixed after 5 years.. It also happens a lot more with the ETK K Series, and 800.

Because its incredibly hard to fix. Go back to 2014 versions and you will see just how much better it is now. Back then any crash with another car was guaranteed to stick.
