that is really weird. Do you think they will add pedestrians and other animals? I wonder if it could be controlled by AI, like have it be random or chase you...
The Crawler and Ornicopter are some vehicles created by Jukka several years ago, and the videos are used to demo the physics possibilities beyond cars. But they have nothing to do with our plans for BeamNG.drive. That is why the page is separate, it is geared towards companies that might have potential for collaboration with BeamNG. We can take on extra projects that allow us to bring more talent and growth to the company as well as develop tech that can possibly feed back to our physics engine etc. It should not be considered a source of update speculation at all. As in, if you are trying to narrow down on what the next updates will contain, it will lead you farther not closer
Awww, I was kinda hoping it would be some new thing that might come to game at some point I can see how this research stuff is really going to big thing for BeamNG in long term. There is so much that can come from that side, machine vision and autonomous vehicles is a big business in future, if you can have a simulator that has accurate physics and aerodynamics simulation, that might help in developing algorithms as a testbed.
We have East Coast, nice and clean: Then we have West Coast, which does not look so rich: So I guess it is quite likely West Coast to have also homeless people, hence homeless blockers kinda belong to that theme.
i feel kind of bad for all those people who have made or worked on bus mods. --- Post updated --- I'm looking forward to seeing the new cars that are going to be added. I wish we could have a four door hopper with a jeep patriot style. I like the circular headlights on the hopper but I would like another big offroad family car like the Roamer with circular headlights.
Maybe or maybe not, I mean, there are many makes and models of bus just like there are multiple makes and models of car. People just aren't as aware of it because buses aren't as exciting as cars and are significantly more similar to each other than even cars of the same size and price class are to each other.
Agreed. Front-engined school buses look very different from rear-engined transportation buses, but not many care enough to notice. The style bus the picture seems to show is a rear-engined city bus, housing many cool features like (hopefully) kneeling. The Dansworth C-Type or something is a generic bus used for schools, cheap and safe.
LPG, mid engine, front engine, rear engine, transit, tourist, city, there are indeed really many kinds of them, some even run by electricity that comes from cables hanging above the street, cables like we see at WCUSA.

I hate to be the one who mentions the concept list, but I feel like I should inform you that one of the considered vehicles was the 1963 Gavril Bussard. Of course, it's also possible that we could be looking at a European bus despite the fact that the only two urban areas currently in-game are both in the USA, where public transit fleets tend to use American-built buses. Could this be Jargl's debut vehicle, the DT825?
