What actually is a kick down on a bus transmission? Is it where you put your foot down and at any cost it will shift down, what if the engine will then be out of the powerband?
Hey! Great mod and thanks for releasing it! I still have a wheel model that's being used by many busses in the Netherlands. If you'd like to add those I could send them to you. Only thing is that the model is not imported into BeamNG yet. It's just a model I think is ready to be imported and can be used with the ingame tires.
It's when the bus either: At max RPM shifts down into the previous gear which causes a powerboost Or The bus gets the signal to overrev with a power-boost, not too sure on how it works.
Yeah im not too sure either. On my bus automatic transmission I just have it work like a car transmission. If the engine can downshift under throttle then it will but it will not over-rev beyond the power band. The powerband is quite forgiving on a diesel, like 85-90% of max power is attainable from 1500-2200RPM, so my gearbox goes from 2nd (2200RPM) into 3rd (1500RPM) and still the bus accelerates. However I haven't downloaded this mod, so i don't know the torque curve.

It works same as with a car, when you put your foot down, it will immediately shift down if that is possible, if rpm is great enough, it will not shift down. Old stuff don't have electronics, so cable just changes position of valve and if pressure is ok, shifting will initiate, if pressure is not in correct range no shifting will happen. Problem is that I don't think there is a kickdown in BeamNG, it has to be custom lua or vehicle controller and overriding shift logic can be bit tricky.

Good. It's nice to see people reworking russian mods. I have a few suggestions: The rear wheels look awful. If you can make a new model for them and give them a higher resolution texture, that would be awesome. If you could put in an engine model that would be awesome, even if you have to use one that's already in the game. Lastly, add some more camera angles from the inside of the bus.
