Here's three maps I've made over the past few months. -Test Fair Test Fair is a small, simple track I made to test my new trucks on, 3 cars and 3 vans, 4 ramps, really fun. I wanted a classic beach map with some more modern/custom ramps, and this was made. Includes 3 cars and 2 vans, one of my favorites of the maps I've created. I finished this map around 2 AM on New Years Day. But when I put the files together the base wouldn't show up. I got pissy, threw the file on MediaFire to save it and started a new one. I found the problem (thanks to Coalition Field) and was able to revive the map (was only racing at the time). I made a freestyle track, got that to work, and here it is! Not my best work as you will see down the road, but it is a start to a new wave, a track revolution to what I have planned. Enjoy! There are four versions. There is a clean and muddish version with pleant of cars (R- 5 cars; F- 4 cars 2 buses), and there is a clean and muddish version with less cars labeled FPS (2 cars each). Download Monster Truck Fairgrounds and Indiana Fairgrounds, I will be updating World Finals eventually with better driving conditions and a better track as well.
my response to mikes maps. this will overwrite owensborocustom. I didn't like that track. track will be unpainted for you all. let me know any issues. WF15 freestyle custom-ish. edit them as you please. i prefer you all not ask me to change anything, learn the editor and edit the map as you see fit. EXCEPT IF ITS GAME BREAKING like just a really awful set up jumps. --- Post updated --- pointlights work way better than spotlights mike. radius of 50 and brightness of 2-3 and it will look good on mud. dump the glass from vehicles, ramps were way steam and way oversized.
Pointlight may work better, but then its just a light in the middle of the track. Spotlights provide some realism to it. just gotta make it work. Freestyle was kinda thrown together out of not knowing what to do anyways. Glass is a preference, cars are fine the way they are. Ramps are supposed to be big, big ramp+much speed=serious elevation.
I tried spotlights like you did, could never get a good brightness and placing them was a pain. There are so many lights in stadiums that we dont see a spotlight like light. Much cleaner with pointlights placed high all around track,
I usually download all the maps on here. I dislike the ones that have textures for cars, although now a days most of the cars are actually crushable. I like mostly all the new maps :Thumbs_up:
I did some recent testing I have done I notice that the grand marshal is a very good car to use for crushing with the k-wall in it, the parts don't seem to grab as much at faster speeds, they also make really good racing lane cars. onto a question, why haven't some of the maps being made use the k-wall for some of the jumps, if they aren't to short they make really nice jammers especially if a van is put next to them.
Blankmap doesnt have nearly the amount if files yours as, pretty much a copy of fairgrounds files wise. When you made your map, did you take every file that was in the levels folder and move it over to your mod levels zip?
