It is caused by the suspension instability (outdated jbeam) which causes the halfshafts to rotate on their own when the 4wd is engaged for some weird reason :/ Gear ratios are exactly the same on both front and rear. Also for some reason the Front diff doesn't really know what to do in case of the disengaged 4WD... --- Post updated --- I Did sort of solve the problem by changing the center diff to splitshaft. For whatever reason it now works, but the wheels still spin at different speeds.
All that configs have bad description and many are stated as 4WD while they are AWD, also the majority of engine are badly placed because i didn't bother about that, people liked it the way it was, by now i have realised how much the mod would have to improve but my skills are about the same and being inactive for a long time didn't help me, that's why i need people to help me, i have some good ideas but not the skills to make it, i think i put more effort on the current i-TEC Covet i'm working on than of every content i created, but still i'm not satisfied in terms of quality
That's fine, I'm just kind of suprised how well this mod did, even thought the ETK's V8 is just a Gavril V8 and in case of a turbo variant there is a turbocharger just kind of half stuck into the side of it I've made some improvements like an I4 engine model for the 2.5L diesel In the I series and basically redoing half of the engines It would be cool if you'd be able to find someone to fix all of the rims and wheels, as I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to those
I always thought the answer to that question is: 'contest' DPMP was not the best mod in terms of quality but it offered a different experience and was maybe one of the mods, along with VM that could give a good refresh to the game content with a single download, it was not the best but it had all that's needed, the V8 was the gavril one? Fine, that's still a V8, it added variety in a simple way
Since I can't find a way of the pessima's rear drive suspension to behave properly are you fine with me only just about fixing it and just moving on?
I had a little bit of break from it after the problems with the pessima's suspension. I'll work on it a bit during this week and I might release mostly fixed version at the end of the week or next week. --- Post updated --- Good news!!! I've gotten the Pessima's powertrain to behave (sorta) It has fixed itself (?) and the rear drivetrain is still unstable, but it works at least. Let's move on to the next vehicle
@Djplopper Where the hell did you hide the police lightbar for the jap police old pessima? I Can't find it anywhere in the files... --- Post updated --- Nevermind, for some reason it was hidden in the skin files... --- Post updated --- Is this good enough? --- Post updated --- And should I make the 4wd configs actually 4WD or change the names to AWD? It seems like Djplopper did forget what's the difference while making configs --- Post updated --- I might be able to finish the fixes today Not much left to do.
Everything but the Roamer and T-series is done, but since noone seems to be interested in this mod pack, so I might not bother releasing it
That was some fast work, it's great to see that you were able to make so much progress on this. Releasing mods is overrated anyways
And now tmI've realised that generating thumbnauls alone will take me at least 3 more hours... And them I'll have to still write a creative description for the turbo diesel covet config that I've made And fix the afterfire situation with rwd body... So I'll send the finished product to @Djplopper in the afternoon tommorow (central europe time).
Now that I've done all of the thumbnails, I know why it took so long... This modpack has 495 configs...
And it is done Now sending to @Djplopper --- Post updated --- The file size reached about 450MB I'd say that this is a lot for a config mod
As soon as i could work it out i'll release the update. Big kudos to @Ai'Torror , he has done in a few days what i couldn't do in a year
