    Is it intentionally using diesel fuel? I also believe it might be just a bit too fast.

    Will you make a 2 stroke engine for the Covet or the old pessima?

    No xD. It's just not something I intended to address, however I will change it to gas in the future.

    No plans as of yet, I do however have some fantasntic I4 engine sounds for the Covet/ Fiat Uno and other I4 using vehicles that shall be coming very soon!

    Doesn't exactly sound like a 2-stroke engine, more of like 2 cylinder 4-stroke engine. 2-strokes are easy to rev and have these cracks and pops on the sound whne you release the pedal and the engine is slowing down. But you could make this more realistic if you somehow manage to create the illusion of more revs on it. :)

    This is kinda my bad, it's meant to be a 2 Cylinder but during research I think I crossed wires somewhere and presumed 2 stroke and 2 cylinder where the same thing xD. Woopsy, easy fix, I can rename it lol.

    Don't know if this is more realistic but it sounds nicer. Less mad.

    This is with a few tweaks..
    Sound code**
    "soundConfig": {
    "sampleName": "2S_Engine",
    "mainGain": -9,
    //"maxLoadMix": 0.75,
    //"minLoadMix": 0,
    //"onLoadGain":1,
    //"offLoadGain":0.7,
    //"eqLowGain": 10,
    //"eqLowFreq": 400,
    //"eqLowWidth": 0,
    //"eqHighGain": -5,
    //"eqHighFreq": 6000,
    //"eqHighWidth": 0.5,
    //"lowCutFreq":80,
    "fundamentalFrequencyCylinderCount":2
    "eqFundamentalGain": 10000
    },
    red is what I changed

    That is very good, very close to something like Wartburg or Trabant. Could be a bit more higher revving thou, 2-strokes are always sounding like a 4-stroke engines that run at very high rpm.

    I don't really know much about how it should sound, never heard a 2 stroke engine being revved irl :p (only the generators and lawnmowers)

    Well this might work as a reference:

    2-stroke, 3 cylinders.

    I suppose everything is personal taste, to me that just sounds quieter and more bassy. I can make the samples have a more progressive bass tone added to them naturally rather than added via the config files of the game. I find that the games sound config files add too much artificial artifacts for lack of a better word rather than correctly representing the samples I recorded sounding the most natural as possible. Do you actually like the sound of my mod though or not to your taste? All feedback is appreciated.

    I should also point out this is a 300cc 2 cylinder air cooled engine from a modified, "tuck tuk" replica engine. Automotive Restoration here in the UK run little local events where all sorts of vehicles sometimes pass through, usually just for run abouts and display but with the weather we've had here recently it was more of a 1 to 1 thing. The actual samples recorded sound quite a bit different, much more "sputtery" but far, far too bassy so using a variety of amplification filters, treble passes and peak cleaning it ended up sounding like this :).

    I will admit it's rather loud so I'm always fine with lowering the volume, which I've already done on the most recent release. However if more sample tuning is needed I can always add more throatyness too it.

    So yeah just to point out again my own mistake, this isn't meant to be a 2 "stroke" sound, but just a 2 Cylinder sound as I always thought despite the Reliant Rialto look, having a tuk tuk sound for it make me smile :).

    Yeah I think it is too brassy as well, but like in the first post the sound quality sounds weird beyond 6k RPM

    Ok, weird how? Distortion, popping, other artifacts? I've popped the samples back through my project modifier and besides the initial quality I don't hear anything wrong so perhaps the game is not liking something?

    I recorded the sample revving up to 6800 at the redline is a little higher than that...ther is possibility the fade/blend of the 6300 sample to the 6800 sample may be the culprit simply because there is little spacing between the samples. I could eithe remove the 6800 sample and cap the RPM at 6450 or remove them both and cap it at 6000.

    The engine it self does redline at 6900 (mad little thing) but I didn't always intend this mod to use that high a redline, more of a 6000 cap. Either way let me know if you can what you reckon sounds off specifically :).

    Have you heard my other samples out of interest in my development thread? Always adding different things there for future mods potentially :).

    I think there was something wrong with my game, it wasn't blending the samples correctly (and on another mod). Cleared cache and it sounds nice.

    Apologies. I believe this is because the fuel tank has been set to gasoline instead of diesel in game? My bad, i've uploaded a corrected version so it uses the correct fuel, gasoline!

    Here, try the attached file below, delete previous version and unsubscribe for now and use this until repo version updates :).

    Don't be sorry :). That's what this discussion tab is for, to resolve issues and talk about the mod(s) :). Hopefully that works for you as I've just tested it in game again and all seems fine :).
