Since people seems to be into talking about music, I made this discussion dedicated just to music and musicians. The only rule: Do not try to alter the topic to something else that isn't music. I'll start with one. I think P.O.D is awesome, especially with the songs Alive and Youth of the Nation.
Well, I can see your points. I'm mentioning the same song again, but for another reason. The lyrics kicks in well, fits with the (harsh-tone) instruments.
I had a listen to it, but the lyrics don't really do anything for me. I wasn't really able to find any novel idea's or meaning in them, but that is probably on me rather than the song. The rest of it is fine, not something I would choose to listen to, but it is a little out from my normal listening.
There are more calmer songs in the album, like Geometric Headdress. This is one of their heavier songs, along with songs like Gore (self-titled song.)
This is about as close to that sort of thing that I tend to get, however the lyrics in that aren't too meaningful to me either, I just like the tune in general: I do occasionally listen to heavier stuff like black sun empire. But they are a very different style of heavy, usually without lyrics. For example: --- Post updated --- Both video's that you have posted show as "not available" for me. So I would presume they are not available in the UK, might potentially be true of other countries too.
I'm often an fan of heavy music, especially metal. Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed, and plenty of others are my favorites. I do like calmer songs, like "Human Nature" by Micheal Jackson.
Eh... yes? I recently got all their albums on FLAC and I can say that (as predicted) the fourth one is their best. Favourite song on the LP: I like that it's more melodic than most of their work, that said the whole album is pure exellence
I heard of them, didn't listen to their music though although I did listen to an Korn cover of Another Brick in the Wall. Anybody heard about this band?
This song really is impactful, especially with the lyrics, which is actually based off an real story.
Japanese Vocaloid music and any sort of Japanese rock music has been my outstanding favorite. It may not be other peoples tastes, but theres something about the Japanese that they have a lot of variety when making a rock track. I love their combination of using rock guitars mixed with electronic music elements. Heres a small variety of what I listen to. All of the songs are sung by a Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. She is a computer generated voice, which progressing over the years she has become near exactly sounding like a real person. However her live hologram concerts with a live instrumental band playing with her and her fanbase has the backing as if she was a real person, anyone can buy her vocal program and the production community using her voice along with the many other vocaloids is quite huge in Japan and North America.
