Let me clarify for those who happen to glaze over long posts... Which is most of you.

I need to fix some issues I discovered whilst doing other things. This takes time, and that delays release dates. The biggest was I think I fixed the rear leaf spring so it's actually working properly. Now we have proper suspension travel in both the front and the rear.

I am targeting to have it uploaded sometime between Wednesday and Friday. Obviously that's not taking into account possible future issues that may arise from doing things, which I've certainly found plenty that were sitting underneath band aids I've been pulling off on this.

My testers have been helping me find and fix quirks that I've either simply forgotten about, or things that just simply need to be fixed in general. On release day, they will be revealed and fully credited for their contributions.

That's pretty cool, can't wait for this thing to be finished. It's like a birthday present for me.

Now I just have to wait for the Brutus B1 comes out.

Can't wait for the Brutus B1 after this car, because once this mod is done, I will crush the living soul out of it.
It will be fun and educational. very educational. :)

    means
You should quote that. And yeah latley I have seen a lot more mods that look promising and this has to be one of the top. The fact that it is still technically going to be a wip means more to come which, like the CRD, means more fun things to do with it to get us hyped to the point where we drive of the cliff... In Beam.ng of course. You have to be crazy to be willing to do something like that in real life.

At least waiting a little longer for initial release means that we get all the special racing parts with initial release most likely:cool:

There were plans for a next gen model. I dont think we'll be seeing that for a while judging by what they said about moving and so on.

    There is one...

Yeah, it's a very simple one, like alot of facelifts in the era.

The Corporate Office Special is the black one, and it's an example of a pre facelift model.

    The race config, minus the skin and the racing accessories, is sporting the facelifted front end;

Really all I did was change out the headlights and the grille. Typical move from manufacturers; You don't have to completely retool an assembly plant, just enough to make the new components that will slide into place.

Pretty much the same situation as the Moonhawk facelift. Nothing fancy, though lets me push the same body style on for a bit and adds some fictional touch to an otherwise, eh, re-badged Corvette.

I know some users just don't like the badges being replaced and tied into a fictional world it shouldn't be in... Though I can't have them on the car for upload, and it just wouldn't make sense to include them when the interior uses a different gauge layout and setup than a real C3. I promise I won't do this again.

If you can wait a few months, I can get settled again and modeling stuff in Blender, I will start the "Regulation Nation" Vendetta, which will be an all-original model with heavy inspiration from GM products and pulling influence from the design struggles of the era.

That will be a 1974-1982 model, with a Corvair style rear suspension (swing axle,) crappy engines, and a cheap metal body, among other things.

I will reveal more about it when the time comes ;) For now, just read old posts in this thread about it.

Today I learned some bad news; atv_123 has basically confirmed a suspicion that I had; the suspension geometry is completely broken, which is why it's misbehaving (duh.) Basically, the whole thing was relying on the shocks (suspension friction) instead of the leaf spring in order to hold up weight. I think he can get something working, though it's going to take some time with his busy schedule.

There were issues with the hard travel limits and the bump stops inducing the vehicle to do hard rebounds instead of trying to control rebounds, and one of my remedies was also one of the major issues.

I am thinking it's going to be a few more days before he can send me a fixed version, pushing release out past this week. In other words, pretty much right at the limit in terms of time relating to me moving out.

I am looking at getting a laptop with an i7 7700HQ, a GTX 1050ti or 1060, and 8-16GB of RAM just so I can keep modding whilst I'm on the move these next few months, and if this happens, I'm going to hold off releasing the Vendetta until 0.12 drops, and I can fully check the mod to see if it works.

I'll make a thread about possible laptops, so don't derail this thread, please... All derailing posts will be reported as spam.

If this falls through, I will give the mod to @atv_123 while I'm away. Either way, I'm going to do my best to make sure that a decent version of the mod gets released, and has the immediate support it needs to make sure that new game versions don't break it (Since we're right upon 0.12 and its hotfixes.)

Be patient, I know you've been waiting a bit, but I will try to make sure that at-least a good quality beta gets released (even if it's released just to the forums by atv_123,) before I move. We just have to fix some major issues that came up while I was fixing other issues.

I think that's all good. I don't know if I mentioned this before but I thought it would take a lot longer (6-12 months) for this thing to be released so within that time is better. Any one mature enough can appriciate the time put into this and could wait for things to get set. I don't think it is right to push someone over a mod, which I know you want to get it done with too so you do what it takes in order to achieve that, but like a model kit, the more time you put into it the better it should turn out. Unless you are me of course and end up ruining everything after that time. Either way I love the progress and find this process very intriguing. Good work, I aprieciate this a lot, even if the release date is changed. I see everything as if you can't tell for certain that it will happen in the future then don't count 100% on that. Mods seem to be exactly that was as well, you never trully know how things will come of it.

A bit of a gift for you. They got wi-fi on board? I would probably just play on the cruise the entire week to be honest.

Yeah kinda figured that because I would doubt that you would of said that. I would enjoy getting 100 messages. Dreams are only dreams, unless it is a deja vu sort of deal.
