I have been thinking about something interesting...
What would be the code-names of the current (and WIP) official cars?
I'd like to see this implemented in because it would be nice to call them by something else besides the model name, and that it might even share connections, like with the Pessimas.
(I'm okay if it's not implemented, it's not like I'm begging it to happen, just an idea I had.)

What exactly are you asking for? Is there a real life comparison? Just to clarify. Not everyone may be as clueless as I, but I'm not fully sure what you mean. I think I have an idea but will save myself the energy lol

I've had some ideas about the US cars:

    Federated Motor Industries (FMI):
    - Standard Chassis (like GM A-Body) - Bruckell Moonhawk ('73-'77 version), Bruckell LeGran/Soliad 4000 ('84-'96 version),
    - Deluxe Chassis (like GM B-Body) - Burnside Special ('49-'54 version), Gavril Bluebuck (?), Gavril Grand Marshall ('91-'96 version),
    - Sport Chassis (like GM F-Body) - Gavril Barstow ('65-'72 version),
    - Large Chassis (like GM H-Body) - Soliad Wendover,
    - D4 (like GMT800) - Gavril D-Series/Roamer,
    - H3 - Gavril H-Series,
    - T3 - Gavril T-Series.

I see. That would be cool. However, it would be somewhat pointless if we aren't going to have multiple cars built on the same platform. The only way I see it being useful is for modders to label cars that are just edited jbeams or largely based off of an official car. For instance if the Barstow is a Gavril A-body, the Bruckell Caldera (mod name) would more or less be a Gavril A-body as well, right?

The Caldera is a Moonhawk-based car.

    Oh, right. I guess it's a Bruckell G-body then.

Wouldn't call the 'Hawk a G-Body - its lines are more like the normal Chevelle/Cutlass/LeMans/Regal A-body coupes.

I'm saying that if the Moonhawk was a G-body-style car, the styling would've been more flamboyant.

Chrysler's g body was a front wheel drive hatchback...

Bruckell has to follow GM code names, or can they just have their own since they are fictional pieces of work?

I was thinking more descriptive names (e.g. "Standard Chassis" for A-Body, "Classic Chassis" for RWD G-Body, "Fullsize Chassis" for old G-Body, "Personal Chassis" for E-Body) for FMI (Gavril+Soliad+Bruckell+Burnside+others).

Someone, possibly a roleplayer, already did something similar (though in all JDM style) a long time ago, though I've no idea where you'd find it now or if it's been updated to include the Hopper and its engines.

You mean me and my overly-convoluted chassis/engine code system that I had for my terrible Initial Beam roleplay thread?

If so, here's the link to a thread that I made containing all those codes.

(Also, the roleplay thread was deleted by Car8John after it got seriously toxic and inactive. I don't really care about that thread anymore, though.)

Yes, that's exactly what I was talking about.
