Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Yeah, I wish I could just get a 280x straight from AMD at MSRP. But of course there always has to be that middle man that screws everybody over by jacking up the prices.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. After some shenanigans my pc finally kept around 42k ppd. Quite an improvement.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Got some preliminary testing going, one drive for the time being until I get all my jumper wires to wire the rest, overall pretty happy with the results so far:
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. We've passed 7m points combined guys! That's amazing!
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. With TechnicolorDalek chuggin' away, we will start passing these milestones a lot faster.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Accidentally left FAH on for a couple days, up to 15 WU's.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Well you should "accidentally" do it more often.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Tried explaining folding at home to somebody today, this is more or less what was going through their head; (imported from here)
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Changed my location. Let's see who can get the refence! (If it's so easy for you you might shouldn't guess (technicolor )) Also, try to only use google in limitation.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. I am guessing something from Doctor Who. The extent of my television watching is House so I would never have a clue.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Yep, there you go. I've gone on a dr who kick with 2 episodes per day. On 03x11 I think. The references episode is called "the impossible planet" and it and it's partner (2 episode series) gets my recommendation for best storyline. (Blink is amazing too. And bad wolf. I like them all) This is also my 200th post in this thread.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Jeez 200 posts!? I need to check how many I have... EDIT: I have 145 posts and 599 total
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Okay guys, so I bought one of the 8800GTS cards we have in our basement back to life with the help of an oven. The cards are configured correctly in FAH but I'm having trouble with the GPUs. The CPU is folding fine, but my 650ti says it's running about 11000PPD but it's still at 0%. The 8800 says it's running but it's at 0% and all the ETA, PPD, base credit, etc is at unknown. Help?
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. The 8800GTS is technically supported after taking a look at the official gpu list but whether or not there are WUs for it is another story. Its not really worth it to fold on that card. As for the 650ti, restart your client and then wait a little more than the amount of time it says for your TPF, it should update by then. If not let us know.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Yeah, so I removed the GPUs and re-added just the 650ti then restarted FAH but after a while it just said "failed" for the card..
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. That's a bit odd, do you have it overclocked at all right now?
