Welp, flying these things is not easy IRL either I'd say. You need to start to allign to the runaway pretty early, increase the flaps and start to slow down. When you reach lower speeds, the plan will start to feel less controllable, but you need to maintain it alligned to the runaway. Keep going down slowly, and when you touch the ground cut the engines, and start to apply the brakes.
Thanks. Infact, I forgott to mention the drag. The drag is nearly non existent which makes it hard to slow down, other than that,I can land it if I try hard enough
Well, planes are meant to be aerodynamic, not massive drag producers. Gear + flaps will produce drag, then reduce engine power and get yourself a long enough final, and you'll have plenty of time to slow down.
**NOTE BOUT MISSING INSTRUMENTS** This is a 0.12 bug and I have released an update with a workaround.
UPDATE - DOWNLOAD IN FIRST POST (HERE) Removed "B" from the base skin, since it was mixing Russian and English. Added more drag to gear, and flaps NEW CONTENT - DOWNLOAD IN FIRST POST (HERE) Added a mod for the addon slot, JATO! You must bind the JATO control in the options menu to use this, and select it from the part selector. Download is in the main post, install it alongside the an12.zip file. Downloading the new AN12.zip is not necessary to use this, but I recommend it since I have made flying behavior changes.
Just a quick tip for those having landing issues; always use throttle for altitude management, and pitch for speed management. Sounds counterintuitive, but it’s actually sound technique. Also, aircraft of this size have at least a three-mile final approach, and always have speeds and landing configurations already dialed in by then.
