I like it. Its too supercar-ish to me tho I think it will do just as well as the GT86, FRS, and BRZ did and are doing It will be really cool, to just see a Mk 5 Supra around town or something.
No manual = seriously Toyota get it together. First, it's a performance car, it should have a manual by default. Second, automatics seriously put me to sleep.
I may not have ever driven a good auto, but the quality isn't even the point. It's as if not needing to shift sort of... amplifies the effects of tiredness on me somehow. Long monotonous drives become even more so in an automatic car.
The previous Supra (Mk. IV) that did had an Automatic option sucked, since it worked better when it was originally an manual vehicle.
Yeah, the first car to use that transmission came after the Toyota Supra's death, just one year apart.
I like it, apart from the fact that it doesn't have a stickshift..... Which it needs, badly. All though not to worry as some aftermarket company will probably drop one in.
according to jalopnik.com, Tetsuya Tada (Toyota's Global Chief of Engineering) said raising the tourqe of the engine will make the shift worse
Honestly, the exterior design sucks ass. BMW engine as well. But the most upsetting thing is the lack of a manual. Seems like this car is not a car for enthusiast - it's a midlife crisis solution.
