As you know, I'm making an Audi 17 Sportback mod! You can see that I have most of the exterior completed, but I don't know how to model the interior. Any one have tips or anything? What is done right now...
Yes but, I kind of need help, I really would mess up on the proportions I mainly model with blueprints
Ehh, i have reference pics it does not look very easy, ill try to find a bunch of pics and make a blueprint or something
Can you show us the status of the project, i really want to know when the car will be ready PS : I'm sorry if i have a bad English i normally speak french.
could be worth a try simply sending AUDI an email asking for some basic blueprints, unlikely that they would agree but hey you might be lucky
Hey man did you gived up? If you don't please can you show us the status of the project, I really want to know when the car will be ready.
Sorry for not getting back to you. This is not cancelled, but it's in hold because I had no time over summer and school is about to start up again. I hope to find time soon
It will start when I get my school laptop back. As of right now apple care sucks and has taken over 3 weeks to repair 2 broken keys.
break the interior into manageable parts (ex: do rough dashboard- then fill in the details- then do everything else the same way)
As the post above says, identify the base shapes, get those basic shapes and progressively refine them adding details. Its not as complicated as it looks. And don't get too ambitious at fiest, just try to make it roughly, then improve and detail bit by bit
Gather as many pictures as you can, and work out the shape of things. You cam use placeholder objects. Some blueprints show a bit of interior. Another technique is to download pictures that contain camera information, particularly the focal length of camera that was used (file properties, details) and set up the view in blender. Then model as you would with a blueprint. Hope this helps. Also if you can, go to the Audi dealership and take pictures (I have actually done this, although not with interiors). I will add as well that blueprints are never perfect, they just give you a general idea of the proportions. Always use reference pics for any modelling --- Post updated --- And also use logic. You have the exterior, so use that as reference. For example, the dash reaches to a certain distance compared to the doors. The elements on the front seem to be divided into three heights (floor, center tunnel with the armrest and such, center console, and dash). You can figure out the proportions just by looking (this part is bigger than the other one, but tohether they have to fit in this space, for example). It won't be perfect but you can get close enough so that no-one will notice. Depends on your eye
