i wanted to fix the wheels on my pickup truck mod but i dont want to edit the frame jbeam please help
You can move the nodes in the suspension itself along with all of the models, but just going into the frame and changing the node offset would be easier.
it does work like that... You make a new jbeam file with your own frame(renamed D-series frame if you are lazy and don't want to make the frame stronger or lighter). Then you copy the suspension and move the nodes and the offset of the wheels and rename the suspension so it doesnt overwrite the old files. You can put it in your own vehicle folder.
thats what i did on my old mods it works but you cannot make the wheels wider or narrow and 4wd/awd dose not work
So? You need to create new jbeam file for the suspension/frame anyways and then you can just put it in your ram folder as I assume that you're making a standalone mod (overwriting the original files is bad). The simpliest solution would be to change the node offset on the frame and then do the same for parts of the suspension. And from what I can see you're trying to make a modern truck and leave it on 80s frame... Which isn't a good idea as it is going to be too weak.
no not trying to make a clickbait mod the frame has been quite modified so did the other parts and its much heavier and stronger than the og D35
So just change the node offset for the rear suspension since you've already modified the frame... What's so hard to understand here?
fix it Does it have a rear diff? Have you checked your powertrain app? Do you expect us to help you with every ******** line of code?
Flipping the truck will tell you nothing... Use the damm powertrain app... Changing the node offset will not break the powertrain system. It might brake the driveshaft, but it all of the stuff will still be connected. Record a video or wth to show what do you mean be not working. Also if it is a clickbait mod, then why do you evej bother with 4wd? It is only meant to look good and that's all.
i did check the powertrain app does nothing did not move the front wheels and if it broke the front drive shaft it will give me a warning such as "! front driveshaft broke!" and its also not a clickbait mod
Take a screenshot of the powertrain app when the 4wd is not working. Also from where did you get the model?
Then I'll stop helping you as you've stollen the model. I dod wonder why the viper is so low quality. Now I know. Use your own model and then I'll be happy to help you.
