Opposite to @Pacivica's thread. Post the pictures and reasons why you like them. Let's go then. 1st generation Dacia Logan. It's one of most endurable cars in last 15 years. It's well-made, reliable and affordable. Taxists in my city drive these cars up to 500k kms and more. Really good car. My family had one of these with high trim level, and I had opportunity to see how good car it is.
I really adore the pre-facelift [Acura/US] NSX. It's lovely to look at, it's pretty good for speed, and very fun to drive.
*ahem* Not a car, but If you're asking me for the actual question, then: It's so small! It's adorable!
Three cars in particular. - The only design by Chris Bangle that didn't look like vomit on wheels, the Fiat Coupè: - The worst Lotus in history, the Elan M100. Front wheel drive, powered by an ISUZU engine, it showed the entire World how hilariously bad GM could get at managing their finest brands. Yet, I love it: - The Autobianchi A112. The sandbox vehicle in the FIAT group, it pioneered many smart solutions that later became mainstream, while also keeping the Abarth heritage in the limelight. EDIT - Fixed links...
I've always liked the Ford Cortina and Bond Bug. No idea why, but but a 3 wheeled wedge of cheese has appealed to me for years.
Eastern Bloc's Crown Victoria - reliable, affordable, but as interesting as buttered bread. As for me, 7th generation Cadillac Eldorado. Best design ever, good equal-length FWD handling, great equipment, outranking even Rolls-Royces of that era, and despite all these negative comments about landbarges, only 6.9% of owners wanted to downsize.
The Opel Zafira, specially the 2003 one. The reason of why I like it so much? I grew up with one and It was the first car I saw in my life. It's also very reliable and comfortable. I've seen Zafiras with over 200.000 kilometers on the clock.
Subaru WRX STI - There isn't much NOT to like about them. I've been for a ride in a 2005 one and it was comfortable on the inside, and they really feel great when accelerating. Unlike many sports cars, these are good in the snow too and can seat 3 passengers comfortably. Personally, this is what I consider to be the ultimate daily driver car.
A Skoda Octavia of the 1st gen its just awesome and actually doesnt look that bad. Also it was my first car wich makes it get alot of bonus points
Then modern cars are even more crap than I thought, if 8-10 years of daily driving is a lot for them.
Well, yes. Cars from the mid '90s to the early 2000s were often wiped away by inconsiderate scrappage schemes. Too old for modern consumerism-driven society, not old nor interesting enough to be considered classics. The ones surviving are usually still used and often abused, so a Zafira with 200.000 kms on the clock in 10-15 years is quite a good example of reliability by nowadays standards. Besides... The Zafira was first launched in 1999. If 200.000 kms is equivalent to 8-10 years of daily driving, none of them would be old enough to have 2.000.000 kms on the clock anyway.
Average daily driving figures don't apply to everyone. There are taxi drivers and some people who work far from home, covering hundreds of kms every day.
