Well that's because they got rid of the General discussion, and this is the closest thing to it.

When I saw the image I thought it was an estate car because the image was dark and it is sunny here. However, an estate style (2 door 4 seat?) muscle car would be super cool imo.

    Happy birthday dude

Rather for the lack of money.

Mitsubishi entered the Spiral of Death.

Their cars aren't good, so nobody is buying them at good prices.
To fix that, Mitsu would have to engineer good cars.
But because they have no money for that, they can't.

It just isn't going to be made there.

Just seen this video on the new Jaguar I-pace.

Goes into a decent amount of detail, hosted by someone who hosted 5th gear (the other UK car show) from 2002-2016 so has a good working knowledge of how to cover cars.

Looks like a nice car though, exterior styling is decent, according to Jonny it handles and rides well. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Range is up to 298miles, apparently they have tech to get the battery up to temperature in cold conditions to mitigate the effect that temperature has on mileage.

I don’t like the styling of the I pace that much. I think it looks too priusey. Also, why does it have a hood scoop if it’s electric?

It could be fake, like the '18 Civic Type R's vents.

    It's explained in the video.

As you can probably see from the shape of the hood, it is not designed to pull air in (which btw, EV's still use air for cooling). It connects through to the front grille for aerodynamics, to ensure a lower drag coefficient and probably adds downforce too.

In your image you can see how the grille curves away at the top to allow for this.

Yeah, the designer stated in the video that he was inspired by cab forward mid engined super cars. Typically you would need a long bonnet on a car like this for a big inline 6 engine. However, since the electric componentry doesn't take too much space in the front, they can fit in aero stuff like that.

So they were saying that the car is designed to maximise interior space because of this. They stated that the car is the same size as a Meccan, but has interior space comparable to a Cayenne. And while it is an SUV, the styling is supposed to be less SUV like with a lower roof line to bring it closer to conventional car dimensions for aerodynamics.

It's gonna be beautiful if they bring Opel to the US having just bought it from General Motors. To then use it to compete with General Motors.
