Cancelled British Roads

    i noticed that i couldnt find any good British maps for BeamNG so i decided to start my own. It will have everything truly british - infinite roadworks, rain ,massive traffic jams and most important of all - left hand side driving.

    British Roads is planned to have multiple areas based of different towns and will have custom content such as british style houses and british road signs.

    Looks amazing, I've always wanted a british map for Beam! Will it have lots of long motorways/ring-roads, though? If so, it would be even better :)

    i'm planning to add lots of motorway ( and lots of roadworks ) as this is going to be a pretty big map on my plans

    Looks awesome! One thing, the Focus model there is a US-Spec 2005 Saloon, quite different to the European saloon.(Grill, Lights and Indicators are all very different ) I am looking forward to this map, as I live about 40 miles from Birmingham. :)

    Sounds like an exciting prospect, gonna keep tabs on this. But @Nathan 03 is right, that Focus doesn't look UK spec - just a small thing.

    Will there be endless council estates?
    What about a nice Tesco (or BeamNG equivalent)?

    Sorry getting way too excited about this one.

    I am aware and i will resolve it soon, i havent had time yet

    council estates are planned but i didnt think of having a supermarket somewhere, but good idea, so thats probably going to be added in the future in one or more of the towns

    Are you gonna do pubs, since they have them in England? It could be called anything for the name of the pub.
    Also, is there gonna be an Mini background vehicle?

    Pubs are a definite yes and a mini background vehicle is something i probably will add :)

    added traffic lights on the road where 1 lane is blocked. both photos at the same moment, will probably make a proper stand for it eventually, the pole is a placeholder. Also has 0 signs

    Also, I think roundabouts are a good idea, if you haven't thought of them already (there's so many round here).

    You can expect many roundabouts in almost all the areas, there are literally roundabouts on most 3 and 4 way junctions near me

    An abandoned warehouse for the Industrial zone. modeled in roblox (cringey i know, i dont use it usually for stuff other than building) and fully textured. Has no collision meshes (could someone tell me how to add collisions to custom models?)

    warehouse is in game but textures are currently eye exploding and its a bit small so i gotta fix that :/

    building has collisions now, in the form of a hidden non custom building inside it

    Shaping up nicely so far.

    Adding on to roundabouts, as seen as you have traffic lights already, if you are going to do a large roundabout, you could always add in the dreaded "lights on roundabout" system - just throwing that in there.

    looking great so far, I can't help with the collisions, but I could probably help with some models at some point if you want.
