jojojona submitted a new resource: jojojona's Barstow I6 Parts - Some parts for the Gavril Barstow I6 engine Read more about this resource...
@Alex Karamalis I think it's best to continue the discussion here. The problem with the straight piped I6 engine is that it has no option for intake modifications. If I wanted to add intake modifications I'd have to copy the whole engine just to change one thing, and I'm not sure that is allowed by the rules for making mods.
I see, if it’s any help I will look into some of the mod making rules and maybe consult one of the developers. Thanks for informing me! --- Post updated --- Oh and before I forget, there are several mods listed on the BeamNG website, that take the official engines and just make them stronger (this was before engine internals were officially added into the game). The mods have been officially approved my the BeamNG developers. Your solution is very similar in concept, therefore it should be within mod making guidelines. Hope this helped, Alex
Here more mod ideas: - Tuning options for all engines (This can be done gradually, don’t worry there is no rush, take your time ) - ECU that allows you to tune the rev limit to a higher value. (This is already in the game, but the mod could allow for more adjustability than in the standard game.) - Base in-line six for Burnside special (Barstow 232 Cubic Inch six cylinder can be used)
Mod: Adds beater versions of each car to BeamNG.Drive. If possible add the dirty white color configuration (it is classified as a paint design in the parts menu) and the old rotted tire compound as well as old dirty steel wheels. In addition to those parts a worn out (slipping) clutch and worn out brake pads. Mini Mod: Adds rear drum brakes to the configuration list for the Ibishu Covet (I want my base Ibishu Covet DX to have rear drum brakes......I know, I'm weird)
Sorry, I hadn't started yet. I will try do it today . I will try to make the parts you suggested, although I can't guarantee that I can make all of them. (I have not yet succesfully done any engine swaps, but I am still learning to make mods, so maybe in the future I can do it!)
No worries man, learning is what it’s all about! I haven’t even made a mod yet ( I hope to make one at some point ) When you do figure out how to do engine swaps, consider making a mod that allows the player to put the ibishu pigeon engines ( both diesel and petrol inline 3 engines) into the ibishu covet.
I have added the extra modification options to the straight-piped I6, the update is now awaiting approval. I am also working on an unofficial text-based surrogate career mode for this game, but it is still work in progress.

It's still work in progress, but the progress is going well! My vacation begins next week, so I should have plenty of time to work on it then. I am currently still playing it myself to see if everything works and is configured right. If you want to, you could help me with testing it when it is ready enough to be tested by other people than me.
Absolutely, I would be glad to help! Also, if it’s easier to discuss certain things, we could talk on discord or Skype, if you’re up for it.
