Lextran has a few short Gillig buses, They don't make sense, but they do exist.

I live in Sammamish, and once a year I fly down to Manhattan to visit my parents. At the van island at Seatac Airport I see short buses all the time. They actually do have an advantage: they can carry far more people than a standard airport van, but they are more maneuverable than a full-length bus because they have a much shorter wheelbase. This comes in handy, as the pickup and drop off area at an airport is often very crowded, and tight manuevers are sometimes mecessary. They also weigh less, and so are slightly more fuel efficient. Their purpose is pretty limited, however, as besides being used as shuttles to and from an airport they are pretty much pointless. Where I live in the suburbs of Seattle, the most common type of bus is articulated, with standard buses being more common in the city, where there are tighter bends.

The rear wheels look like they should be moved back imo.

If you need a better reference here's a 90s New Flyer D30LF, which the Wentward is based off of. A nice touch would be to add the bubble style passenger windshield.

I know its based of an American design but it looks almost like a Lothian Buses Electric model from Volvo, I mean is it possible to make an Electric version of this, with power to the rear wheels only as a possible drivetrain option?

Have you fixed the engine problem yet!? I am kind of worried that the project might die :(
