Oh Hi... About a year or so ago, I started a project in Beam, to find out how fast will many different types of vehicles (Made by both the BeamNG Team and the Mod Creators) will go around a lap of the Hirochi Raceway. What started as a fun experiment for 20 cars, turned into a 11 paged, 300+ list of various cars, ranging from the insanely quick FR17, all the way to the huge AT-TE, this list got it all. And, if you want, you can suggest a specific car to me to do a lap time on through the comment down below, or message me, if you want it to be a secret for everyone X3 BTW.... IF YOU ARE A MOD CREATOR AND WANTED TO SEE YOUR "UPCOMING CAR" INCLUDED EARLIER IN THIS LIST, PLEASE MESSAGE ME, IT WILL BE SUCH AN HONOR FOR ME Thanks Again For Looking At This List! VOL 2 of the PDF file is now available! Automation exported cars are noted in Green.
NEW LAP TIMES!!! How do you run this.... e.g What circuit version? Do you use keyboard/controller/wheel? Do you manually shift? What in-game assists do you use? (e.g pre-heated engine, clutch assist etc) Do you make use of drifting or do you prefer smooth turning through braking? Also do you allow custom configs? (e.g if I suggested my default drive) Sorry for all the questions but I am quite interested in the criteria of which you use compared to me for example.
Long Race Circuit, I want to have the full and most often layout for testing. I used an Xbox 360 controller No I do not manually shift, when I first started the testing, all 20 cars are using assisted shifting. I have from time to time wanted to manually shift because I know the cars could go faster, but for fair comparison sakes, I used assisted shifting. For assists, ESC will be turned off and every driver assistance is turned on. As I said earlier, I started without knowing that it would grow this big. Both gearbox and ABS behavior is set to Realistic. I always prefer smooth turning, even with the drift cars, I can squeeze more time and I just like driving cleanly. And yes, I totally allow custom configs, infact that's a fantastic idea, I like it. Never thought of that until now. I hope this answers all your questions
Awesome, thanks for getting back to me! It's really interesting finding out how other people play the game. Would it work if I sent you the .pc file for a custom config or would you need more?

Tried out the Ibishu Covet V6 Sport (M) myself, got a bit better time (esc disabled, using a wheel). I believe a skilled driver could get the time to below 1.40
Yeah, I mean, I used a controller (which is already a huge disadvantage) and I'm not the best of drivers, I'm not even allowed to drive a car yet, but that's great, there's definitely a lot of different variations of how people play. I guess I represent the group that uses a controller to play. But, well done on your part my dude. I would definitely love to have a wheel for Beam, but it's just too out of reach for me at the moment.
Hey, try not to underestimate yourself. You put up some incredibly good runs in two of the 2017 BeamNG Rally Championships. It's good to think of rally and circuit racing as different skill sets, same with different drivetrains and vehicle styles. You don't have to master all of them before you can be a pretty great driver. I probably couldn't have set those rally times when I was 14. Also, the overall runner up and direct rival for first on a couple rounds of an earlier BRC was somehow competing that well on a keyboard. You'd be surprised how much of that control scheme disadvantage you can erase with practice and persistence, and how well many of those skills would transfer to a wheel. PS, @Taza Eyyy (Done with Xbox 360 controller)
Ha I knew it You're pretty much the only skilled driver I've seen on these forums, so my previous message was intended to interest you.
Phew, under 1:40, congrats man. Before BRC, I never joined any competition, it was my first competition. Added by the fact that I never play a rally game, I thought I would do poorly. But almost the opposite happened. Probably I'm a better rally driver, who knows. But again as I said earlier, this is just a fun thing I made, nothing to be taken seriously. P.S Anyone have suggestions for any mods to test? I seem to be running out of cars.
Something you could maybe try is taxiing the Cessplane L19 around the race track for a lap (if it still works in version 0.12). It's not quite a car but you could sort of use it like one.

P.S. I'm still taking more mod requests or suggestions for new lap times around the track, so just type your craziest ideas, I'll most probably do it (Sorry for being very late to post another update, been busy with school tests these couple of weeks)
I'm quite interested in how different race configs from my mod compare As currently they have the same power outputs and tires. https://www.beamng.com/resources/v10-car-pack.3013/ Next update will change most of the stuff tho.
Quick Update~ Cessplane L19 (Taxiing) : 4:42.379 (Author : @Dummiesman) Just a quick update here, wanted to post the very first plane lap time around the race track It did better than what I expected to be honest. Thanks for @Spec Racer Z for the suggestion... P.S. Don't spend almost an hour, trying to set a time with a plane, I got so frustrated while doing it.
