Almost finished installing new stainless steel brake lines and hoses. Just have to install middle line and rear hose. I also bought 6 quarts of 10-30wt oil and a motorcraft filter
And right as I'm getting the rebuilt engine back in the Yukon and getting it running, the Crown vic's transmission goes out. It's one thing after another I tell ya.
Drained all the old oil and ordered a magnetic drain plug and I will do an oil change next good day I get it is supposed to rain tomorrow
For the 100th post of my car on VinWiki, I made a little video as a celebration: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bh--_xynoCB/ Also snapped this for the VinWiki post that had the link.
I drained the oil to get a magnetic drain plug then refilled it with Walmart 10w-30 oil so I could run some motor clean through it, drained that out and then I put on a Motorcraft filter and some Valvoline 10w-30 high mileage. I also found out that it has a K&N air filter so I cleaned that and I will oil it tomorrow.and, I also cleaned out the airbox because mice where in it at some point.
I washed my Impala, polished it, shined the tires, detailed the interior and got heat stroke from it. Worth it. Also replaced a faulty speed sensor wire harness from the front-left wheel. Very common problem on these cars.
well the accident happened yesterday (ran over a VERY bad railroad track crossing going a bit fast) but today we took off a broken motor mount and took out the CV axle. it's a shame that's it's our only road legal vehicle and all we have to fix it right now is $3. we are just lucky it was just the motor mount and the CV axle and nothing else. 2001 ZX5 Focus if anyone wanted to know the car
oiled the K&N filter, filled the brakes and fixed the leaks in the bronco, also found out my truck is the 8,125th built for 1989 and built in April
i wanted to know i have a 2001 one as well (eu spec of course) can't belive how rustfree your hose clamps from the coolant reservoir are (new ones?), mine are ... rust but yeah washed it and changed driverside headlight bulb...
our car is almost all original with 200k miles on it. main Motor Mount, both A arms, spindles, CV axles, front wheel bearings, and bolts on the front end will be new. rear wheel bearings have been replaced already. only rust is little spots all over the body. new A arms for the car --- Post updated --- we got our motor mount and it is now installed. we can now breathe a little easier but there is still much to buy (with no money right now so it'll have to wait) and much to do.
I received calipers, a breather filter, a coolant temp sensor and a set of clutch and brake petal pads since mine are missing
