A 1997 MX5, BRG/Tan, ugly and rusty, stripped interior. HSD Coilovers, locally made roll bar, NRG bucket seat, aluminum rad, Hawk HP+ pads. Just put on some Enkei RPF1 15x8 and Bridgestone RE71R for the summer. Plans include welding up the rust, dropping in a 4.77 ring and pinion, and beating on it at the local track as much as possible. 2nd car is my 1969 Corolla Sprinter. Stalled restoration project. This picture is a few years old and nothing has really changed. I stripped/blasted it to bare metal, fixed various rust holes, did all the bodywork and paint myself in this shed. Now its sitting 90% done and I never get around to it. It has AE86/TE27 front suspension with koni race shocks and 4.5kg/mm springs Rack and pinion conversion (from steering box) using shortened MR2 rack TE27 Rear axle with custom leaf springs 3TC with 40mm Mikuni sidedrafts, T50 transmission, aluminum flywheel, and a header
Not expensive to own but not easy to own. It's a very small and delicate car, so I was always paranoid to drive/park in the city. Its very hard to track down spare parts but when I can find them they are just as cheap as any other old Toyota.
With it being small, it'll definitely fit in tight parking spaces better than bigger cars. --- Post updated --- And I figured that with it being an old classic car, the insurance would be high.
