Well, I use more than one machine. The one that sort of died has a 4th gen Intel I3 4030U @1.90 Ghz dual core. The second machine I use (is temporary until I get a new one) has a 3rd gen Intel I7 840Q @1.80Ghz and goes up to (roughly) 3.00Ghz quad core. (May look slow, but it's quite snappy considering its 8 years old. It's faster than my i3.)
Phenom II X4 B95 #.0 GHz Quad Core. (I know, it sucks) P.S. At least my GPU is okay-ish: EVGA NVidia GT1030 2G GDDR5.
5960X stock clocks but it does turbo to 3.4GHz quite happily, Its utterly overkill for what I need, for a single processor (I am assuming no one has a Threadripper) its definitely the most powerful ones on the forum for a single socket chip, I know Xeons can beat it for sheer brut power and also threadripper but I have not seen many people saying they have threadripper chips yet
I've got an i5-3570k @4.5 GHz. Even with such a massive overclock, it's still worse than an i5-7500(?), but not by all that much, and it's paired with a GTX 1060, so it'll run most games on high
Waiting for tr2 rumoured to hit in summer. At least I'm going to be on plenty of cooling headroom by then
