It could also be the other way around. Ex. Just because it looks horrific doesn't mean that it is always a poor-quality vehicle.
I'm not saying a car is bad if the designers neglected either, as long as the other is OK. Just that a really good car should mix both.
TBH Volvo and Alfa Romeo are one of the examples of how to do it. About nearly all of them both have good designs, with good factors when driving it as well.
Hmm, kind of like the Baja, I suppose. Certainly not the ugliest car, but not the prettiest, it's still a pretty decent vehicle despite it's looks.
Yeah, the Baja is just an old outback with some of the back chopped off. I wonder how much effort Subaru put into that.
The key elements of a car are: cost to own, performance/off-road prowess, comfort, space, safety, durability. Alfa usually fails at the first and last, and is not that good at the fourth and fifth.
But then when it comes to Volvo, it's almost undeniably good. Even being hit by a backing garbage truck, it still sustains it pretty good.
From what i've heard, almost everything is well thought of and "undeniably good". Very safe vehicles as well.
Yes, but some models have cost-to-own and durability problems. Also, if I wanted to survive backing truck hits, I'd get an HD pickup with big bumpers.
Then again, place some other family car in a situation like that. You'd have a worse day after that than in a Volvo.
The Town Car and Aurora are 90s cars. --- Post updated --- Also, the then-contemporary big US cars would be safer than old Volvos, due to the weight advantage.
Then again, the only "American car" I remember the feel of is a Acura MDX, and I use that term loosely because it's not fully American since it branches off from Honda. (Which of course is Japanese)
OK, jesus christ. I get it. It only really applies with classic cars then. I give up. I am surprised you have not been banned yet for being so f*cking annoying
My dream car is of course the 1971 Plymouth GTX. Beautiful, reliable and cheap. I also found one for sale at 47.990. Pretty cheap, at least in my vision.
