    You are welcome :). Yeah, it will come in a future update hopefully.

    No clue, I use a custom crash sound mod by "sirenmod" found here on the forums, I'd say try that as it comes with a control to lower the volume :).

    Just wondering since you know how the sounds work in Beam, is there a way to turn down the crash sounds? Everytime I crash it practically makes me go deaf
    Yeah I am using that but I didn't see an options anywhere to control the volume?

    Finally had a chance to edit the jbeam and turnt he gain down. mainGain was 1.0 and i've dropped it all the way to 0.2 and it didn't make any difference.

    <edit> Nevermind, I was editing the wrong file apparently. Too many Barstow mods to keep track of I guess. I just can't figure out why there is no engine model. On other variants of the Barstow the engine sound has a big echo. Weird stuff this game haha

    Lol you are telling me, this sound consistency issue is bugging me because I would of had at least 4 other mods released by now.

    However I do have the Procar I6 mod good to go, will release that later ready for repo :).

    I agree!!! I got it working with the barstow but only barely. No engine model so anytime you get a look under the hood you realize it's powered by ghosts lol

    Yeah the sound engine is a battle it seems. I thought I got the gain/volume thing figured out, but I was mistaken. Driving me crazy haha

    Check my development thread, I have actually made some progress as it's all about frequency, format and rate it seems :).

    Nice, that's good to hear! Now you just need to make it a global sound so it works on everything, like the piegon for example... :p :D

    <edit>
    Since you're in the know with BeamNG, do you know of any way to use free camera but have it track the car or any kind of drive by camera?

    Hey, just wondering if you had any luck finding out how to adjust the engine volume? I found out how to apply the sound to other cars but it's so loud I can't hear road noise, tire squeels or anything else.

    Here:

    Code:

            "soundConfig": "soundConfig",
        },
        "soundConfig": {
            "sampleName": "67cam",
            "mainGain": 1,

    Change "maingain" to like -4 or something :). Will be quiter then.
    Hit the big green subscribe button at the top of this page and launch the game :).

    It's a great sound. Possibly the best sounding engine in the game. If you can create more sound mods you'll really make this game better.

    Clear your internet download cache and allow permissions?

    Other than that download it and put it in the mods folder :).

    Ohh you can use negative values, I feel like a dolt now haha. Thanks man!
    If you don't mind me trying to make myself some custom sounds using these sound files in Live For Speed, do you have the individual Camaro sounds when there is no power/throttle applied? With LFS since they are power on sounds it'll just be like a sewing machine with no throttle lol

    That was the problem, I just didn't know I had to select the engine in the parts menu.
    So now I can say from my own experience: damn, that sounds awesome

    if you read the overview information some where it say (Just select the "67V8 Cam" engine in the parts list and away you go!).

    :)
