YES. YES. YES! a few things from an obsessed jeep enthusiast: 1. the CJ5 (which your's appears to be based on due to door length and size) has a strange hump which everyone hated and was removed in the CJ7: (next model of the cj) 2. you need to round the fenders and hood, as the CJ series was an incredibly round car 3. leaf spring suspension - all jeep (wranglers) had em' up until 1996, the end of the YJ. 4. you may not even want to include the fender flares, and just make em' a part of the fenders themselves, like so: 5. in most jeep CJs the leaf springs were mounted to the front bumpers, just so you know! all in all i think this has GREAT potential, and i can't WAIT to see the finished product!
Alrighty then, Thanks to @Acrain7 for that list, I really appreciated it Progress updates Rounded the hood, put mirror bases onto windshield ,and put wipers to the top of it.
awesome! any chance you can round this area: and, if you really want to go all out, you could redo the hood and fenders entirely to make it fit the CJ5 aesthetic: where it bends up much higher in the middle (shorter window), and it bends inwards as it goes, allowing for the fenders to protrude outwards!
the rollbar and taillights are PERFECT! as for the rounding, any chance you can PM me the file so i can take a crack at it?
actually i just had the PERFECT solution for the fenders: Basically just give the fenders a fender flare extension like so, it looks like a new fender (which it is on the cj5) BUT it would just be the flare itself, so you don't have to bother with remodeling the entire fender! BEFORE: AFTER: (bad sketch in google drawings above, based on picture below for reference --- Post updated --- the more the merrier! also his could actually add padding and lights ontop
