So, wait, Austria can't build a fictional SUV in BeamNG 's parallel universe because "it wasn't a thing" during WWII? - Austria "was a thing" before WWII. Hello, History! - Steyr Werke AG, becoming Steyr-Daimler-Puch in 1934...? - Puch/Steyr-Puch building military vehicles after WWII...? - Steyr-Puch 700AP developed (right in the '50s, so soon after WWII ended) in order to replace the Jeep Willis still in use by the Austrian army...? Steyr-Puch was simply one of the best known 4x4 experts in Europe after WWII... Suggestion makes perfect sense. Besides, a modern SUV doesn't imply a long tradition in the field or past military involvement, pretty much every manufacturer has one in their current lineup and plenty of them were nothing during WWII.
They also engineered the Panda 4x4 system. And, incidentally, also assembled some Chrysler and Jeep products for the european markets.
Was it all real? Yeah. But the Austrian market didn't have the prowess needed to launch civilian Jeeps, Land Rovers or Land Cruisers.

tbh, I'd actually like to see a GM New Look or a similar flavour in the game. It is one of the most beloved buses in North America, being used in the majority of transportation authorities. Obviously, it won't be branded as a GM bus for copyright/trademark reasons. These ones were ordered by the Toronto Transit Commission, who arguably had the one of the largest fleet of such buses. Photos aren't mine. Why should it be added? -Everyone loves it -We need more buses lol -Familiar design -Popular for it's day and age -because GM
Neither did Spain. Heck, Spain didn't even have a local manufacturer. Yet SEAT has 3 SUVs in their lineup today. French manufacturers had almost zero expertise in 4x4 vehicles - up to the point they all had to get into joint-ventures with foreign manufacturers when the French Military needed old Jeeps replaced in the '70s. Thus the Peugeot P4 was born - based on the austrian-designed Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, no less! Today they all have SUVs in their lineups. Besides, BeamNG is literally a parallel universe. One where a monstrosity like the SBR4 gets greenlit and an obvious Jeep knock-off is branded as a japanese car... and people are fine with it because ehy, the wiki says it draws inspiration from the J40 Land Cruiser, even if it looks nothing like it. So what exactly is wrong with an austrian-branded knock-off of a chinese-built FIAT in drag?

Alright, so my idea is the Laika/Trabant 601 Deluxe! It's a cute little car with a very weak body that would crash spectacularly for sure! There are a lot of 3D files for the body that someone could work with, or you can just try and model it from the game Jalopy. Or both! Simplify the model based on the real car to look like the body from the game Jalopy and make the engine like the game too! Maybe have different versions that are faster or slower have the different engine parts from the game! I mean the models from the game are simple enough, one might be able to convince the developer himself to send the parts in!

Lemme address all of the things you selected as suggestions: Clothes Iron plane? Not very realistic in compatibility.. No clue what a Roomba is. How'd you "suck" with the vacuum cleaner? Interesting suggestion, a street sweaper, hmmmmmm... I D E A S Very non-aerodynamic shape, also, remember, to keep it realistic you'll also have to have the "cockpit" for these vehicles aswell... Shopping cart already exists, linked somewhere in this thread already Pinewood derby cars would be very hard due to the decreased size = more nodes and more complex jbeam structure..
these are just ideas of course, the iron could just be a land vehicle. Does the vacuum have to suck? it can just be a huge vacuum you can drive around. A toaster could have controls inside where the heating coils would be, with a window on the side. And the pinewood derby cars could be scaled up to real vehicle proportions.

One question - do you know a thing about BeamNG model making? --- Post updated --- An US full-on luxury car would likely have a new brand.
I don't really care for kei cars, but wouldn't be too bad. Still would rather have an older luxury car (30s Cadillac, 60s Imperial, 70s Eldorado or S-Class, 80s Rolls, etc.)
