I wonder who was the one to be like my truck isn't lifted enough then puts 4 tractor tires on it and called it a monster truck (don't answer that question)

sit down children, let me tell you the story of a truck named Bigfoot....

it all got started in 1973 when a man by the name of Bob Chandler bought a brand new 1974 Ford F-250 High Boy. he took his family camping alot and loved the 4wd that the truck had. since there 4x4 shops were few and far between, he built his own shop called Midwest Four Wheel Drive. Bob would put bigger tires on the truck for better offroad capability but then the axles would break, so he put bigger axles under it then the motor didn't have enough power so he put a bigger motor in it, then the wheels weren't good enough so he put bigger wheels on it and a constant cycle began. someone said "you break your truck so often because of your Big Foot". Bob decided to call his truck Bigfoot in 1975 and by 1977, there quite a few other 'imitators', USA-1, The Beast, King Kong, and Godzilla were the trucks at the time. Bob kept breaking parts then kept putting bigger parts on. 1979, Bob got a Ford sponsorship for Bigfoot and the front clip was changed. in 1981, Bob Chandler decided he wanted to run over some cars, which the truck proved was very easy. by 1983, Bob had crushed cars in front of a few crowds but none had the saying power that the crush in Pontiac had. after the crush in Pontiac, Monster Trucks started to become popular and the rest, as they say, is history.

    Bigfoot 1 in 1974 ish

    Bigfoot 1 in 1974/75 Ish

    Bigfoot 1 in 1975/76

    Bigfoot 1 in 1977

    Bigfoot 1 in 1981

Bigfoot 2 (identical to Bigfoot 1 aside from a few things) in 1983
