You should be aware there is tons of mods that are probably better than most of what we have right now stored in a computer somewhere. There's actually a bunch. I found the site (it's not like it's hidden or anything, just a simple internet search will bring it up) and it doesn't seem to host anything near the quality we have here.

The problem for me is not really that some other websites share it. It's really because they pirate it. Which means they make all this stuff available to people that didn't buy the game. While these forums are only accessible to people who did. Now the uncrediting would be frustrating even if those websites were in some way locked to people who didn't buy the game. But that cannot be avoided. The simplest way you go around this is like what DrowsySam does. Always put something related to YOU in the name of your stuff. Why do you think he names everything with "DSC" ? DrowsySam Content maybe (correct me if I'm mistaken ) ? Still there you can put a signature to your content because those who reupload will not edit that title or it wouldn't match the official content. Which would make people think it's a derivative and not the original and so is probably less good. Did you see what happened to that ragdoll ? Well check its name on the russian website . Drowsy had it renamed on his forum thread. Russians... were too fast and didn't bother ^^. Nadeox I suggest you start naming your stuff with NDX or something always in front. And I suggest the same to all of you.
Re: 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Drowsy Sam Custom's, I think his skateboard was specifically named as a Drowsy Sam Customs vehicle rather than simply DSC. Anything I release would be prefixed with 6677, although in my case that would simply be for folder organisation (much like kerbal space program modders used to do, they would place the same initials on the beginning of any mod parts they released to keep them organised in the parts folder). That it names me as author is simply a bonus.

And I would even advise the most paranoid ones to first release with a non-blocking bug (just something that makes it less good) and a wrong title. Then post another fixed release with a definitive title once massive-russian-mod-sharing-websites have taken it.
