That's very unlikely (unless you're a big car-spotter). I also saw a 300ZX and a Sentra Nismo today, never saw them until now.
I bought my “Millie” a present today to show her how much I love her. They’re quite subtle, and were only $20 from the local junkyard... They actually came off this one: So I figured it was right for them to live-on on another Limey Mustang.
Whipped out Photoshop and "experimented" with the Portofino for a few minutes. This is the result: The real photo can be found here: https://www.netcarshow.com/ferrari/2018-portofino/1600x1200/wallpaper_04.htm
Fixed the ac in the yukon. Had to replace the low pressure cycling switch and add some more refrigerant to the system. Riding in cool comfort now. Also I got hired as a car jockey at a large American car rental company. Bout to be getting paid to whip cheap rental cars.
For everyone else who couldn't spot any difference other than "maybe the grille is taller? but can't tell". To be honest, I preferred the original image, it was more aggressive and made the car look lower and sleeker (and less like a fiesta in general). Ofc, its quite difficult to tell in an image. Having said that, without seeing a car in person, it's more or less impossible to draw any conclusions. Pictures are so deceiving compared to the seeing the real thing.
I wasn't trying to make it look better, rather I was seeing the possibilities of what I could edit from this vehicle. I'm gonna next edit another vehicle (won't tell, it won't be the Mustang from 1973 after quick consideration) and make it more messy. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Differences should be more noticeable (and more uglier).
The job title is car prep/detailer. It mostly involves blasting them down in the wash bay and vacuuming them out real quick, and taking them to get gas/to the dealer for service/to other locations.
Browsed the internet for a 60-80s American sedan or wagon and damn they are rare. There's a crap ton of MBs, Jaguars, Volkswagens, MGs and Toyotas for sale in US, Mustangs are everywhere, yet a basic US family car is so hard to find. Did they all get destroyed in derbies or what?
My guess would be that no one really cared about them so they all got scrapped. Equally they probably required a metric crap tonne of maintenance to keep them running and no one was willing to do that for such a "worthless" car. Hence there are few left.
No, it's just that nobody cared about, say, a 1976 Impala sedan: it was neither a gearhead machine nor a valuable car. They just came to a point when the only folks buying them were derby drivers, junkyards and the destitute, which has been avoided by the more mod-friendly and cult cars.
I hesitate to post this meme as some of the original images may be (probably were) copyrighted and also several of the text quotes are direct call-outs to people on this forum. It does, however, capture pretty accurately what I think of modern car culture. All it's missing are the logo of a Chinese cartoon I don't want to promote and a Super Weeabeat album cover.
It's also missing the donk people as well. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I tried to fix this disastrous vehicle in Photoshop. It wasn't too easy a task though.
You don't get outside much do you? Having said that, what's wrong with Burger King? (other than the ludicrously high pricing)
It's actually a "Drift King" parody logo, but I'm no great fan of Burger King either. Their burgers are just sort of meh, and their mayo tastes too freakin' strong.
You mean American car culture? Because people in Europe and Japan appreciate American cars and they have large fanbases in those countries. Car enthusiasts often desire what is rare and uncommon, while not appreciating common domestic cars. "Perfectly balanced euro sports sedans" are often run in derbies and banger races and "JDM legends" cut into parts and sent to Russia in their respective countries. And why do I see Subaru logo there? They are wonderful cars: safe, easy to handle, offroad capable, reliable and quite fast. Subaru brought full-time AWD into the market and still has the balls to keep it while almost everyone doesn't. Whether a daily driver has to be fast or not depends on where you drive (no need for 200hp in traffic jams), but I think it should be fast enough to put modern diesel sports sedans to shame (so, 0-100/0-62 in 8 or less seconds). And vaping is just another way to damage your health, has as much to do with car culture as drinking vodka. You got me laughing with "Chinese cartoon" though.
