So FH4 just got announced on E3. I think it looks awesome so far, but on the other hand FH3 looked awesome as well and turned out to be boring after a while, so I'll wait till the game's out. What are your thoughts on it?
It looks amazing in my opinion! Some new things we know about the game now: Seasons Animals The map looks insanely huge, probably several times larger than FH3 A new vehicle type: giant hover-crafts Location: UK New types of AI vehicles Huge open areas, perfect for fast paced off-roading and rally as well as a bunch of new off-road vehicles Houses you can purchase Bikes Everyone is online in a single world
My main concern is how the seasons will trasition and how often. It's a great concept but it could be really immersion breaking if it flips between them too quickly. Overall it looks good though. Here's the trailer since it's not in the OP:
Well, they've already confirmed that it's in the UK. Houses haven't been confirmed but are likely, and would be awesome!
Seems a little too similar to the previous Forza Horizon titles. Yes bikes and hovercrafts exists but I doubt they are actually drivable, if you look at the gameplay video, they are not being driven by Drivatars (all non-car vehicles are regular AI instead of Drivatar).
As a British person, I am generally hyped for any game that features vast expanses of the UK. Therefore, this game is now very much on my radar. I really hope the driving physics are engaging, and that the map is solid.
I'm guessing the physics will be unchanged from the previous games. Not as realistic as Forza Motorsport but still better than typical arcade games. As for the map, I'm hoping the designers studied up on at least some basic city planning as that's where the previous games were lacking. I also wish the roads were narrower but I guess that's a design decision I can understand.
Some corrections to my previous post: Instead of a world that all players are in at the same time, there will be 72-player servers. Vehicles like the hovercraft and the bikes will most likely not be drive-able, but are instead part of a showcase event. Map size is likely the same as FH3.
Purchasable houses have been confirmed but you can't walk around them (massive bummer as customisable houses have been something that is needed for ages), and you can purchase businesses.
yeah me too --- Post updated --- Only issue i have with the game is that the steering input is slowed down and nullified, even with it set to "Simulation". Therefore you can't correct slides as when you are frantically moving the control stick, the driver is lazily turning the wheel. Really frustrating.
Well, I'm surprised that it takes place in Britain... but it's pretty good for what it is. I also can't wait for the upcoming full car list. I hope they added a new Honda or Acura, though I can infer the 2018 Honda Civic Type R will be there coming back from FM7...
I'm excited to see the car list as well. It might be unlikely, but i wonder if Tesla and/or Toyota will be returning to the game.
I'm positive Tesla will return, and for Toyota.... Eh, probably will be there, but it's almost the same thing Porsche was doing before with car games last year and even this year. Also, I wonder if they'll add a playable bus in this game...
Maybe a Double-Decker London bus. Don't know what class or category it would be though. Here's my little wish list (Only British cars. I needed to limit myself) 1982 AC 3000ME 1951 Allard J2X 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda (Yes, the weird wedge one) 1997 Bentley Turbo R/T 1949 Bristol 402 1970 Bristol 411 1988 Bristol Beaufighter 1963 Hillman Imp by Zagato 1993 Lister Storm 1990 Lotus Elan 1968 Louts Europa 1970 Marcos 3 Litre 1968 Marcos Mantis (Because why the hell not?) 1989 Panther Solo 1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1937 Swallow Sidecar SS100 1971 TVR 2500 1979 TVR 3000S 2002 TVR Tamora
I'm hyped about this game, I'm already thinking about pre-ordering it, but i gotta save every cent for that next vehicle I'll own in real life. If there's a dodge demon, I'm preordering it, if not, i'll wait.
