Yea probably should OT I just finished up my Gavril Roamer project and took her out into the Utah wilderness and started to off road, it went pretty well. The car has a supercharger and at one point it was making 40PSI, pretty decent for a abandoned car out in the middle of no where. Along with that I was on a long almost flat surface and got to around 110MPH before I had to slow down. Here are some pics
This is my new project. A 2017 Gavril Barstow. Suspension smashed and driveline broken by some teen racing at night. --- Post updated --- Cool, it drives. I guess only the front driveshaft was broken. The rim is destroyed! --- Post updated --- Stripped all the damaged parts, ordering new ones. --- Post updated --- Also, I got myself another oldsmobile. I want something with a big trunk. Now I just need to bring it up to date. --- Post updated ---
Well now that I have completed my Roamer I drove her back home to my apartment in WCA and finally decided to take a look at my abandoned Oldsmobile. The only thing it really needed was a good detail, a new interior, and a little bit of love. So I decided to try to make it look like my dads old station wagon.
Nice OT I now stripped all of the vinyl and paint off of the car and I'm ready to repaint it now. Along with that I restored the wheels to their factory glory
Getting tires for the Barstow. This Oldsmobile had a huge trunk, although I should maybe get a wagon. It doesnt quite fit --- Post updated --- New wheels on the Barstow.
Bought a beater to transport parts and junk. I might restore it, but i'm not sure. --- Post updated --- I'm going to restore her! First I have to clear all this rust off.
Nice, car looks brand new from factory! OT I finished painting the car and applying the Vinyl to it. I also finished up the interior and made it look modern in a way.
I just finished up the Barstow! Also, i'm thinking of getting another wagon and doing an offroad project with it. --- Post updated --- This wagon will become a offroad beast. Before I can do anything though, I need to clean it up. --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- Now I need to clear off the rust, and get a roofrack. --- Post updated --- I love the darkwood. I might add it to my other wagon --- Post updated --- I wonder if my wagon can actually offroad?
okay, im on my way fow getting a stripped, bare and slightly damaged sunburst, gonna make it a fast daily driver, so i can get my superburst serviced --- Post updated --- its just a shell on wheels --- Post updated ---
it was for a donor car, so it got parted out, this was left over --- Post updated --- i dropped a 2.4 i4 HTI engine in it, and a fuel tank, it all fits nicely, now just gotta find some body panels --- Post updated --- altho, i do have doors from a rear ended sunburst wagon --- Post updated --- i also can use the HTI interior from that wago --- Post updated --- the 2.4 HTI turbo engine, in my almost finished car, just gotta register it now --- Post updated --- i didnt get a radio for it, anyone got one?
I finished up loose ends with my wagon. I'm now going on vacation to utah. --- Post updated --- Stopping for gas and directions.
well, i like sleepers more, but, just, dont stance --- Post updated --- Okay, i just bought a old, beater pessima, its in poor condition, and needs a engine swap, likely something powerfull im gonna leave it looking as close as to what it is now tho, or should i repaint and detail it? --- Post updated --- okay, on my way home the coolant hose snapped in half, i fixed it with duct tape, so, yeah, i lost some coolant but it still runs, i might use this engine in my banger racing pessima im working on, it wont die, it just smokes a bit and if it dies no one will likely care --- Post updated --- also, stripping the car went fast, the front bumpoer and grille fell out when i entered my garage --- Post updated --- i swapped the lights out for full red taillights and clear white headlights, altho i moght put yellow ones in at front, ill see also mounted a oil cooler, and swapped the radiator for a high performance one, anyone ideas for what engine i should put into, a i4 or a v6? --- Post updated --- okay, its decided, full respray time --- Post updated --- it got a slightly tuned N/A 2.0 DOHC with AWD, LSDs and sport suspention, also, a sport ECU and a matt black paint job --- Post updated --- its also getting a 5 lug wheel hub conversion, so i can fit some black n dark wheels, that look good on it --- Post updated --- it got a name "Project Black" --- Post updated --- just did a speed test, it doesnt really accelerate beyond 120mph (around 200km/h) so im gonna pick up the performance pack i ordered, race ECU, 6 Speed racing gearbox, stage 2 or 3 turbo, and some more small details, also might make my own skin for it --- Post updated --- engine used to be locked at 6500rpm, now it can rev to 7800rpm
