It kinda works, but barely, everything just explodes if I define beam strengths etc. Leaving those out and it kind of works, but there are serious issues.

I guess that I will try remaking it then, bit boring and frustrating though.

Instability in wheels, especially when diff lock is on:

I'm thinking that maybe live axle setup needs some other changes to axles than which I have done, there might be something like hub to hub specification of axle and I would need now hub to diff only, so that is what I need to start studying and examining next. But hey, at least it does work, somewhat...

Oh yes and that uses airbags, if I get that thing stable, then I try to look into customizing that stuff so that there would be active anti-roll stabilization thing, but first I would need to get thing to work.

Well, got it to this stage in today's 12 hour straight modding session, still needs to limit suspension movement and examine more about instability, but kinda happy, can drift and off-road already:

If anyone's ever been to Allentown PA, in the USA, you may have driven past a home that looks like the one I am making here. It's a 1960's 'Ultra-Modern' Row-home, normally seen infesting subdivisions in blocks of 8 units each. They're actually pretty nice inside (if they've been maintained), hardwood floors, cinder-block fire walls, solidly built enough. Not like that new light-weight construction that burns quicker than a Petrol Station.

I had a friend who lived in one of these homes when I was growing up (more than one friend, actually, as there were about 200 homes like this exactly the same floor-plan), and I had a lot of fond memories there from the late 80s through the 90s.

Sadly, another old childhood friend whom I still speak with, called up to tell me he has passed away of a Heart Attack at the young age of 36 - the same age as me, just last week some-time. I hadn't seen him in 15 years, but to know someone you grew up with has passed away, leaves you a bit empty for a bit of time.
So I decided to honor him by building the house he grew up in, the house we played lots of Sega Genesis, Nintendo, and Super Nintendo (etc) in, before the days of computers. The house his mother made the delicious fried food - she could cook like nobody's business. The rusty, primer-mobile Ice-Cream truck with the cheapest Ice-Cream in town, would always roll through twice daily, and more on weekends, even if the jingle thingy was dragging it's last legs, sorely out of tune. The time another friend of mine and I drove over (I drove, my 1st car, in the late 90s), to see you and I backed over a Recycle Bin unbeknownst to me. Sitting on his roof, my (late) friend shout "Nice park job!" ... Leaving later the same evening with a recycle bin stuffed under the back of your car at 11pm isn't quite the grand exit I hoped, but some off-roading in ye'olde Escort GT got those pesky trash bins off my 6.

The house (shown as a duplex or 'twin home') will be featured plentifully in one or two subdivisions in my up-and-coming city map. The textures are all new except the roof texture. It's not totally textured yet but it should be finished the next time I have a few hours at the machine here.

So not totally done, but here it is; we will miss you Dave. You may have finally found escape from your PTSD, but the good times we had as kids will never escape that little sanctuary place in my brain.

Sorry if this was too sappy for some, but it's from the heart.
Responses not required, but I just had to model up the house, in it's original condition as-built in years 1961~1967, too.

    --Cheers!

P.S. Been very busy with real-life duties lately, a few more days and I should have things all caught-up. I haven't even played any PC games today and I'm about to turn in for some shut-eye, but I did get some modeling done. I would have had more done but Maya LT made my UV (texture) maps look like an Etch-A-Sketch in an earthquake.
Edited: Fixed a typo now that I'm not on 4 hours of sleep, ugh.

Such beautifully modeled house certainly is really nice memorial for you friend. It is shame life is how it is :(

    //////////////////
Didn't get much done today myself, some weird contraptions of no value and nothing got really done, experimenting just takes lot of time.
    upload_2018-6-15_8-59-49.png upload_2018-6-15_9-3-28.png upload_2018-6-15_9-5-32.png upload_2018-6-15_9-6-28.png

This one needs bit more work too, just material settings, uv map and texturing, I guess, unless I want to add more details.

Poor attempt of texturing (only part of bed):

Can we just start a rule here before anyone attempts it.

Cars you create in Automation should not be posted in development screens.

Well unfortunately development has ceased for the day, I was just starting to get my housing development built.
As usual, BeamNG has once again become it's crashy self again. Everytime I try to place a forest object it now CRASHES.
    Lovely.
Well I did get one picture out of it in the mean-time, interface & all still on, here it is:

It's supposed to have nice sidewalks and stuff but it crashed every time I tried to put those in. It's not like the same ones aren't used on the next block over. Stupid BeamNG. Not dealing with this today.
I'll get back to it when someone can figure out why most every time I start the game and open the editor, and pick any forest object and try to place it, it crashes!
I'll likely shelf this project until the game is more stable if no one has any ideas.

Edit: This bug has been around since 0.9 when the forest editor was re-done.

Did you try running without any mods (other than the map)? I've found it helps its stability sometimes. Unless you already are of course.

Pulled the entire mods DIR out and tried it. Doesn't seem to matter. Not out of RAM either. I am out of energy to mess with this game for a while though. Simulates the deadly crashes so real the program itself is no where to be found (until I run it again). It'll work fine for days and then it starts doing this...
It let me put the houses there. Then if I go to add the sidewalks BOOM.
Now I cannot add anything. I'd be shocked if there's more than 200~250 forest objects total in the map.

To clarify, no it's not the models, especially the ones I am trying to place considering they're already used in other places in the map. I can place the same model right next to one already there on level load and BOOM.
It's nothing else being open that's crashing it, closed other things down.

There, there's my development screenshot (below), and "What a revolting development this is!" ...

Way I managed to crash my forest Brush with 100% reliability was to have model .dae file of the object in question in some other place than in very folder of the map I'm making. While texture I can link to for example JRI zip, models I can't and if there is even slight error with name or path (like I had \ instead of \) it does crash.

While I'm certain that is not case with your crashing, I'm thinking that perhaps it is something related, maybe something in editor gets crossway and while game should read path correctly there is some garbage getting to path which is not cleared from memory by editor (that should happen in code automatically).

For example if I change maps, quite often something variables are clearly not reset during map load and old variable values of previous map are used.

Not much we can do of course.

I guess they will add some code to handle such situations so it does not crash, but is handling exception gracefully, when they get around to it.

Looking for textures, stress testing bed, sorts of things.
    upload_2018-6-16_6-36-38.png
That is 3x cinderblock wall dropped to bed, funnily enough, in BeamNG truck will have no trouble driving there, but in reality it would be Excavator making time, hmm....

Oh yes and certainly cinderblocks do come unstable by themselves after a while:
upload_2018-6-16_6-43-4.png Even such bed is simple to make, making it function and crashing etc. that is lot of work.
