I noticed that happened to me so I opened the parts selector titled as Vehicle Config and went through the list of parts to add back to the vehicle which worked well... Have you tried doing that?
I've been waiting for a Beetle for so long, and this one is amazing. Thank you! Only thing: is there a way to turn off the self-healing? Is there a file I can delete or something, as it's not selectable like the wheelie is. Thanks!

it's not "going to waste", the author is probably just busy. he was last online 6 days ago but that atleast shows he's alive

IMO Herbie is basically completed and finished, He Works Awesome. Herbie has a huge selection or parts and config settings that can be changed in Vehicle Customization Tab jota3214™ has made a config for Herbie, Check it out, Posted Feb 17, 2018 on page 10. Which you would have seen if you opened every page to read. Herbie sometimes spawns without rear suspension so add it back using Vehicle Config Tab. Once you set Herbie up to your liking you should save him under the Save & Load Tab so he is ready when ever you want to drive him. For myself From the Vehicle Customization menu I added the Rear Line Lock and Nitrous for better burnouts though sometimes it can break the drive shafts (some people call them half shafts) which Herbie has 2 of, 1 on either side of the transmission that connect the transmission to the rear axles via uni joints/cv joints? To propell Herbie otherwise he wouldn't move. And to help Herbie turn corners better I removed the Sway-Bars (Which I learn't from by driving a Land Rover Discovery V8 Coil Spring version in real life and felt like the Sway-Bars wanted to tip it over when ever I cornered extra hard, I preferred body roll and lifting of the front wheel instead of the awkward feeling the Sway-Bars induced which also helped it turn sharper as it was no longer hindered by the Sway-Bars) So I apply that technique to gaming as well. I don't think it will go abandoned You see no one knew about this project until it was released. He kept it hidden from everyone for a long time, he might be doing just that agaib
