There are a few military vehicles that also use alphabetical names, like the M29 Weasel (alphanumeric name and a alphabetical name).
    Sergeant?
What about a animal name, as the Dodge is named after male goats that are of course called rams. Maybe something like "Bighorn" (reference to the Bighorn sheep)?

I had it named "Sergeant" to make it more catchy.

Or just, y'know, the old good "D-Series" nameplate.

The Hopper is very much a Wrangler/CJ, not a Jimny.

That would work as well. (Ironically, I actually made a suggestion of a new generation D-Series that happens to take some inspiration from the Ram).

I think he was basing it off my suggestion of a modern-day Hopper, which happens to have some Jimny in it (though it still has Wrangler elements).

    That's the T-Series.
I'd like to see three D-Series lines - basic (F-150+Silverado 1500), HD (Super Duty + Ram) and medium duty (F-650 + Kodiak).

My idea for a D-Series genealogy:
    - '63-'69 - base, Dispatcher (based on Suburban), medium duty,
    - '70-'82 (facelift for '76) - base, Roamer (based on Blazer), Dispatcher, medium duty,
    - '83-'00 (facelifts for '89 and '95) - base, Roamer (until 1st lift, then separate model), Dispatcher, medium duty,
    - '01-'09 - base, HD, medium duty, (Dispatcher spun off)
    - '10-'18 - base, HD, medium duty,
    - '19- - base, HD, medium duty.

That name would better suit a Diablo-based vehicle.

That generally isn't a production vehicle name, save for something like a Demon Challenger.
    Or just MZ2.

Then again, a synonym to Diablo (English or Spanish) would be the best-suiting name for a Diablo-based vehicle.

    (I know it's a month-old comment, but anyways...)
Isn't Transporter already used by Volkswagen?

These huge forced induction V8s are gonna rip that thing apart.
NA 3.5-4.0 V8 would be enough.
