I recently moved some of my folding over to adak over at overclockers. http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=744019 As you guys know, adak passed away a little while ago. The team over at overclockers decided to run a foldathon in his honor. Amazing people from teams and countries around the work have started folding in his name, giving him over 15m ppd (That would make him the 5th most powerful team in the world. He already is the most powerful individual.) If anyone wants to join in feel free to do so; it's amazing seeing hundreds of people come together like this.
Cousin is mine thanks. As for the 480s, sure they are still pretty decent but I am not sure if I want to drain the entire powergrid / burn down my house running them in a rig.
If you couldn't run them I have a 650w PSU around here somewhere. I could grab a $50 mobo and CPU and get at least one going. I remember my good old blower 5770. Even before I knew to monitor temps and stuff I knew it was hot and called it the lava tornado. Thing was loud and I burned myself on the exhaust grate, thus, lava tornado.
The air blown out of my CPU heat-sink is scorching hot. It doesn't handle overclocks well.. But if it dies I have an excuse to get a new one. But with the kinda temps that the 4770k has, I hope it at least survives long enough to get my water cooling all finished. I call it the fiery circle of hell.
I just received my nzxt h440 in the mail! I will post pictures soon. I am planning on doing a build log style photo album on Linus Tech Tips forums so I'll post a link when I get that made.
Pc is down. Gpu was going to temporarily mine anyway, and then I got my computer "privileges" revoked. Ah well.
I burned my thumb taking a 8800GTS out a while after doing a stress test. (230F! With new thermal paste.)
Here is a link to the album of my PC upgrade pictures. Enjoy! It truly looks beautiful, it is super silent and amazing all around.
