Works both ways. Plenty of people never reach such mileages, not even in decades.

Still, a modern car with 200.000 kms on the clock and counting is nothing to write home about, sure, but a robust car in my book. Any car would be, 2.000.000 kms (or the proverbial million miles) is a goal very few cars reached in their life, so much that we have top-ten charts celebrating cars that did.

Mercedes-Benz 1955 300SL. No explanation needed. And it's newer counterpart, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

oh and can't forget the Local Motors Rally Fighter. I love it because you get to build it yourself with people who know how to make them too, and it's basically a beast through everything, plus it looks sick.

Personally, I really like one of two cars either a -
    Citroen C6
    OR
    a -
    Skoda Favorit
Think that they are both really cool in their own little (or big) ways.

    (bump but it's OT)

It's a neat-looking executive vehicle, V6 is pretty powerful, and was a IIHS Best Pick.

The Opel Astra F GT, because I grew up with one of those things,it had a 1.8 L 125 HP engine, which pulled pretty well. It looked exactly like that.
The alloys are photoshoped, to make it look exactly like the one I had when i was a kid.

Why? Because I have great memories from my childhood with it. Also - I like boxy styling. And just look at it in racing trim:

    2. BMW E34

Just look at it - it's beautiful.

    3. Skyline R30, 31 and R32

And it's not just the GT-R I like - they generally look good and I have heard they are great cars.

I also love Renault Clios. My favourite is the Mk2 preferably in dark blue.

    Yugo/Zastava Florida.
It was one of most modern and beautiful cars at the time, it's a pity why it wasn't produced in larger amount. Later models (Florida In) look modern and nice too, even though it's based on late 80s car. They've also been available with Peugeot engines.

    Yugo.
You can buy parts for this car for 4 euros, which makes it one of cheapest cars for maintenance. And it's also good for tuning. Also were available with Peugeot engines.

Renault Megane (II, III and IV generation). For the money of basically equipped Golf, you can buy fully equipped Megane. And it's comfortable too. And the costs of parts and maintenance are cheaper than most of cars from the segment.

    80s BMWs.
Mainly because design. They still look fresh, simple and unsurpassed. Nothing more.

    Pre-facelift Acura MDX YD2:
Bypassing it's looks, it's a really decent vehicle. I've been in one a few times (owned by my father's parents), and it's a pretty enjoyable SUV. It's also pretty cheap for a Acura.
