Update Speculation thread

I just wish the staff would say "the ab (or new) car was not given out to the preview automation update and will be released when its released.".

 

I saw this video once before you post it. WhyWeare's car is better than Neil's car. (Just saying Its speed)

 

I noticed that rumble strips now have a sound in a few videos so that will make hotlapping a whole lot easier

 

I just wish they would tell us a name, I’m sick of referring to it as “that new AB car thingy”

 

Well, if it's gonna be a alternated Wentward situation.... we'll still have to refer it as AB for now like we had to refer the DT40L as a Wentward before it released.

 

It is only 2 days when it all becomes clear.

If there is or is not new AB car, amount of stuff I can play will explode with this update, so I consider this update being single most greatest update of BeamNG that I have seen.

 

I have a question for the devs, at what point is an Automation port considered a mod that can be put in the vehicles section instead of the Automation section? Say it starts out as a port, but the modder adds an interior, improves the jbeam, makes the wheels universal, etc. will it ever be considered to be put in the real vehicle mod category?

 

We didn't even call it a Wentward. We just called it "the bus".

 

Until the full reveal, where the logo was shown (then it was called a Wentward, after some analyzing).

Well, he's finally back! He just posted on the Coronet thread, so that means the Bluebuck and Wendover will soon be worked on again.

 

Don’t get too excited. He’s been lurking since his injury got serious and this isn’t the first post he’s made since it stared.

 

From what I've heard he's advising the vehicle artists, but not making anything right now .

 

I know, but it's been a damn while since his last post. Also, when I mean "soon", I mean when he feels ready.

It's not common to find people that go straight back to work after some recovery, so I didn't expect him to work on it immediately, just stating the Bluebuck and Wendover won't no longer stay on hold.

 

If I were to decide, I wouldn't include the AB in the early access version for youtubers.

 

I kind of expected it to not include the AB, as that is Beam exclusive (AKA: won't need Automation to work).

 

I would think that those vehicles got binned and replaced with new more interesting designs at some point.

 

Seems unlikely, considering how long he was developing those two vehicles, and how much work was put into them.

 

But there has been nothing on them for years, not even smallest bit of new info, also if you look vehicles released recently they are generally more detailed than ones that were worked on years ago, so they would need updating like some vehicles in game.
