cant download mods

when i press subscribe it opens beamng but the mod doesn't get downloaded ive restarted my pc that didn't help and when i manually download it it comes up as mod_info and vehicles i extract them and put it in mods and it still doesn't work







btw ive put over 4k hours on beamng

 

you don't extract the .zip into the mods folder, leave them zipped.

 

i appreciate it but its still not worrking

 

Have you ever had issues with the game before?

 

no not at all before ive had upwards of 100 mods

 

Might be some corrupt file.

 

Hmm, do you have any really old/bootleg mods?

 

i actually deleted all my mods when this started to happpen so i dont think thats it

even after uninstalling every mod it still does not work?

If that's the case, try a clean reinstall on BeamNG, As I've had this issue and this worked for me well:

Unistall BeamNG from Steam
Delete BeamNG.Drive folder from MyDocuments (Backup your mods if you want, but do not put them back until you are sure the game is working fine)
Delete BeamNG.Drive folder from Steam/Steamapp/common (If there is still a folder)
Reinstall BeamNG

before this all happend i backed up beamng on my hard drive would that effect it

 

Its because the mod repo is down for fixing

pretty much. you'll just have to wait a few hours, then try again.

Drag the downloaded .zip into your mods folder, no need to unpack it. That's normal.

 

Repo is down for maintenance, probably to add a place for automation ports.
