    So I recently made a mod for the Hirochi SBR4, but I have no idea how I go about uploading it. Since it uses many of the same resources as the stock car, is there a way to upload the mod so that it runs the modified files (engine, radiator, and brakes) instead of the stock files?

    are you trying to make parts and a config for the car or replace it altogether (not recommended)

    I'm trying to make a variant, and my best solution right now is to outright replace the car

    If you replace the car then it wouldn't be allowed on the repo. Making it just a config would most of the time be a lot simpler. If you don't want to do that you could possibly just make it an entirely new car and name it Hirochi SBR4 (whatever it is you're making) Edition.
    or something

    How would you make it a config if you have custom parts embedded in the code of the original files?

    Assuming you have modified SBR4.zip file:
    Take those custom parts to new empty text document, then delete SBR4.zip and from steam choose verify installed game files. This is to get SBR4 to original state.

    After that you need to make folder Documents\BeamNG.drive\vehicles\SBR4\yourmodname and save that text document with somename.jbeam to that folder.

    Then make sure your part names are unique and that you have all needed { and }

    If you read through this thread, you can find information how to make a mod and how to name things properly:
