How do you start Automation? Starting from steam library gets you options menu and you should select first one or one of the UE4 options, 2nd option from the top launches old version that does not have export: Old version looks like this and it does not have export function:
ok, i made a car with 100 throttle response, since i couldn't get any higher value I assume it's max. it was way better, thanks for advice.
Hi, I have a problem when I import the vehicle on beamng, I receive an error message "Failed to delete or write to zip" I disable the mods on Beamng, I uninstall and reinstall Beamng and Automation and nothing to do always the same message, if someone has the solution? (sorry for the mistakes, I use google translation)
Usually means that something is blocking Automation from writing in the Documents/BeamNG.drive folder. Check your antivirus and anything similar. As well check if it's the 'Controller folder access' in Windows Defender (if you have that enabled)
i just merged the separate engine meshes to get a better picture of it and make it display the total tris count
Just disable the antivirus and everything works
Can you just test if the engine shows as good as in an Automation vehicle (fully textured with no bugs) but in a Pessima for example? I'll not be home for like a week or so and I'd like see if it is possible so I can start thinking about the pack I want to do. Thanks tho, if yoy can't just don't do it and I'll try by myself
About the stiff suspension. I made some test and apparently the stock presets for the suspension when exported they are too stiff in BeamNG, so I tried softening damper, springs and sway bars by 2-3 clicks and it was way better, but I'm still not sure how to tell when the suspension is too stiff for BeamNG. For example I've made a cheap hatchback with basic suspension setup and used the Comfort preset: it was way to stiff, no body roll at all. Then I've tried to make a luxury sedan with active air suspension, I've used again the Comfort preset and this time it was almost perfect, it had the perfect amount of body roll for a 4.2 tonnes (!) sedan. Maybe I just can't tune suspensions properly , but yeah, this is the only thing in the update that bothers me a little bit (Mainly because it's a bit time consuming to tune the suspension and then re-export the car). Still, I love this update.
I love this update because it gets rid of the ability to ask for mods on the forums. now you just buy automation and make your own mods.
Removing all the mods is having the mod folder empty, you can delete them or move them to a temporary folder in the desktop. You can also try to clean cache but if that doesn't work yet you just can reinstall the game
Idea: engine exporter for vanilla BeamNG cars, I don't really care about Automation's car designer but I love the engine designer aspect.
well i found the root of the problem, when i use turbos it will have fatal vehicle (something) please reload vehicle. when its naturaly aspirated it works well
That happened to someone else more in this post and he said he disabled all the mods and it worked fine, but i'm not sure if he said wich mod was causing the fatal vehicle exception.
