Thank you This is most definitely a team effort though. There are many areas where the basic ingredients are in place, it's just about adding the extra stuff which makes the cake taste great, if you know what I mean...... and of course, great samples is 50% of the work. You need great code to play the samples properly. Certainly a different one for me though and very much a learning experience in that for the games I've worked on, F1 / DiRT / GRID it's very much a case of turning things up to 11... a lot of areas you had to fake things to get them to work because the code and physics engine don't give you the functionality you need..... totally the opposite here in many areas, so very much a new learning experience.... and I'm very much enjoying it
Ah well I did work with the audio programmer on Paradise for quite a few years, on Race Driver GRID and DiRT 2 - before he left to release FortressCraft. But no, the main reason is the physics and how that manipulates the samples.
