Hi all, I'm only just getting into modding and I want to put an interior that is already in the game into one of my models, like the etk s series mod that uses the etk 800 interior. If anyone could give me any help it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    James

That is quite lengthy operation that does require modifying whole and everything of jbeam at this moment, at least AFAIK.

You can get interior transferred quite easily, but to get working gauges, you need to kind of 'fix' whole jbeam which has offset, which does not work with needles and at least I have been unable to set offset to needles, even in theory that should be possible.

I'm still having trouble gauges acting weird way, but I have moved all nodes in all files, changed offsets, modified body model so that I can have windows, but there is a lot to do, need to model roof panel, floor and other bits, door panels and dash needs modifying too.

Try this tutorial, engine or interior it is really pretty much the same thing (most you can import is dashboard, gauges, seats, steering wheel and few other bits), but you need to be able to model parts of interior yourself:

May i ask how you turned the windows transparent?

On that screenshot there are no windows at all, I took them out in Blender.

There is a way to do it without Blender too.

In materials.cs find for glass_base.dds, line above is doubleSided = "1"; change that to doubleSided = "0"; and you have transparent windows.

You might also want to add doubleSided = "1"; to car body material, but finding that might be bit more tricky, it might be first material in file, but I'm not sure if it always is.

Of course with Blender you could make new windows by changing material to windows to something more window like.

I did make an tutorial for this as I thought it might be nice way to help people get into modding these vehicles:

It is kinda nice to be able to drive inside the car, even that it does not have interior, maybe from there one gets interest in learning how to add interior too.
