This is the continuously updated thread where I'll be posting all the vehicles I make that fall under the Orbit or OAC brand. Enjoy!

    1992 Orbit Tachyon LE:
Completely redesigned for 1992, the Orbit Tachyon.

This LE trim of the sedan is equipped with Orbit Automotive's reworked 3 liter I5 engine, which produces 250 horsepower routed to the front wheels though a 5 speed selective sequential automatic transmission.

Designed on the autobahns of Germany and in the deserts of Nevada, this highway hauler is made to comfortably cruise at 120 mph all while its passengers quietly relax in it's plushly upholstered cabin with premium amenities. With a 0-60 time of less than 7 seconds and a top speed of nearly 150 mph, this is one sedan other drivers won't want to mess with.

    Update version 1.1:
This update fixes a couple of cosmetic details and adds a few more to the car (lettering, license plate placement, body colored trim, hood vents, sunroof addition), and increases the 0-60 acceleration by a quarter of a second thanks to better gearing. Traction control has also been added, as well as a limited slip diff. The old version will still be available for download.

    1993 Orbit Imperion XSE:
Introducing the new Orbit Imperion! Winner of the "Most Anticipated Car of the Year" award for 1992, this modern sports coupe is finally here!

This XSE trim is the ultimate Imperion. Not for beginners, this model sports OAC's signature powerful I5 engine, which pushes 250 horsepower directly to the rear wheels through a limited slip differential. Coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission, this car is not for the faint of heart.

Update: '92 Tachyon has been updated to version 1.1. Version 1.0 is still available to download.

    1993 Orbit Imperion SE:
Do you want to look like you own the hottest new sports car in America, but can't be bothered to drive a manual transmission? Do you wish that a simple overtake would be a long, drawn out ordeal? Are you a high school student 25 years in the future looking for a cheap used car? Do you just hate driving in general and are also a complete masochist? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then have we got the solution for you! The 1993 Orbit Imperion SE!

With it's 1.75L I3 producing a whopping 89 horsepower, this is one car you can rely on getting you from point A to point B. Just make sure you leave early and give plenty of buffer time!

CAUTION: This vehicle (in my game at least) is prone to instability while spawning, recovering, or resetting the vehicle. The XSE trim doesn't have this bug, just the SE. SPAWN AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Yep, I based more of the design of my 1992 Tachyon off of the 1996 Saturn SL2 and less of it off of the early to mid-'90s Ford Taurus SHO. Conversely, I based more of the design of my 2011 Tachyon off of the 2010 Ford Taurus and less of it off of the 2010 Opel Insignia, since many Saturns were just rebadged Opels near the end of the life of the brand.

    2011 Orbit Tachyon XLE+

By 2009, Orbit Automotive was in a bad way. It's parent company, the automotive giant American Motors (AM), went bankrupt during the financial crisis of 2008. Thanks to some government intervention (of taxpayer money), AM was able to get back on their feet and avoid completely shutting down. However, despite being too big to fail, some serious restructuring and downsizing was needed at AM. Multiple car brands were either sold to foreign entities or killed off entirely, and soon it came time for Orbit's turn at the chopping block.

Orbit was a popular brand, and had a good reputation among the American public. However it wasn't popular enough for AM's standards, and Orbit was slated to be shut down. This news drew the attention of German automaker Wolfsburg Motorwerks (WM), who recognized the popularity of the brand and offered to buy Orbit from American Motors at a 60% stake. AM accepted this offer, and in late 2009, Orbit was sold to WM.

The first product of this new American-German fusion was the all-new Tachyon, a decision made to try and revitalize Orbit's brand image to that of what it was in the '90s - affordable and practical cars that also packed a punch. However, with the top trim model of the Tachyon, the XLE+, Orbit dipped it's toes into the luxury market thanks to their new German influence. The XLE+ came equipped with WM's new turbocharged V6, producing over 500hp sent to all 4 wheels. The same exact engine could be found in the Rorscache Jalapeno sport SUV, of which WM owns the brand of.

Aimed largely at the burgeoning American luxury car market in China, it's no wonder that Chinese automaker Songshen Auto bought 80% of WM's stake in Orbit in 2014.
