From running BeamNG at 1080p, I think the menu just chugs full stop. Trying to do vehicle geometry stuff is painful with how the vehicle tuning tab works, it gets confused between different vehicles, is laggy, and brakes whenever the vehicle is "Ctrl+R" respawned. However, BeamNG is still pretty Alpha, so these things are to be expected. Could be worse
I'm really looking forward of seeing improvements of UI that they are working on, who knows how awesome features and improvements they are working at their dev branch, which we never hear about.
Building on last night (or the night before, I can't remember)'s deranged, fallacious rant, any idea if the Nintendo 64 is vulnerable to Spectre? I had a dream I exploited Spectre to win at Super Smash Bros. Of course, as with any Spectre attack, it would be extremely difficult to pull off, and completely impossible to execute reliably (likely requiring thousands of frame-perfect inputs)... Pannenkoek needs to look into this! Shoutouts to Simpleflips I know the GameCube is vulnerable, so maybe someone could use Spectre to cheat at Melee? I am now very interested in the implications of hardware security holes for Nintendo games. I know that a hardware issue on the Super Nintendo (Memory Data Register Manipulation? Or should we give it a cute name, like Boo variant 1?) actually enables arbitrary code execution in Super Mario World - just Google "super mario world credits warp explained," as I'm too lazy to link it :|
Downloading an album from google photos, well it's probably 50gb or more and it's downloading at 20mbps on my 150mbps connection *sigh* Google your so big but ur server is awful! (tbf it is a free service, but c'mon)
yeah google wasn't uploading quick at all! Finally downloaded 25gb, they compressed even more than i thought!
I have a NES. NES has a MOS 6502 variant. NES is dead because of the 72-pin connector. I must fix NES. I’m still loopy from hospital pain meds. Fml
Try the blinking light win as im guessing you have a front loader and those things are notorious to breaking
Yea, I have a VCR NES. Kinda wish I had a Nin-toaster (top loader NES), but it is what it is. I just have to deal with the fact that hey, it’s a 32 year old game console, it’s gonna have an issue or two.
yeah i wish i had a front loader NES but the only nintendo console old one i have is a gameboy and if it counts a snes mini
Hi Guys my PC is a Lenovo G51-35 laptop A Amd A8 7410 with amd radeon r5 intergated graphics my specs arre in the screenschots. my laptop can run beamng 1366x768 res with ultra low graphics and collisions disabled at a kind of stable 33 - 40 fps. my goal is to run beamng at a average stable 50-60 fps at low settings
I only have a GBA. I'm not a huge fan of Nintendo games though. A few years ago I got dolphin up and running on my computer*, ran wonderfully (4k super-sampled I think?), no input delay, all ran great (except the speakers in the Wii controllers didn't work properly, but not a big deal), at which point I had the realisation "what am I going to play on this". At which point I realised, there were no games I was interested in. So its never been used since. *I was living with parents at the time, and my sister had a Wii in the living room, so I used the controllers and "sensor" bar from that. My plan was to try and play the games at a screen resolution that doesn't look like crap. Since that has always been something I have found to be a huge issue on the Wii, with retro games I don't take issue because they were designed for it with art styles that looked good with low screen resolution. However, the Wii had a high definition art style rendered in jaggies.
Classic style NESs were known for breaking? Dang, my grandma has one from when they first came out that’s still in near perfect condition and is used all the time. We did break the blaster though
i tried to upload my beamng benchmarks but the extenstions from fraps are unsupported but what i got was 30-50 fps on ultralow settings on gridmap after a defrag of my hardrive. im trying to get average stable 50 fps on all maps if possible
Build a PC then? Not much you can do to a laptop besides an SSD and more ram, both only sometimes and don't impact fps much.
bro right now money is tight and i got to make do with the hardware i have. you got any registry tweaks i should try to squeeze a bit more performance out of my apu? and aslo how can i overclock my ram speed it's rated at 1600 mhz but its only running at 897 mhz
Your RAM is probably dual channel. Therefore two sticks running together is 1600mhz. Overclocking RAM will gain you near enough zero performance improvement (and is very difficult to do). Your laptop is only as fast as it is, all the tinkering in the world is not going to net you double your current frame rate. You could go full on "potato mode", but graphics ofc are going to suffer heavily. If you want more fps, you can't do much more than turn down the settings.
That's because CPU-Z reads the speed of SDR (Single Data Rate) which is half of DDR (Double Data Rate). Your ram SDR is roughly 800Mhz so your DDR ram speed will be indeed 1600 Mhz. On my desktop I have a 3000 Mhz Ram kit and on CPU-Z it's only showing it running at 1500 Mhz for this reason.
The only problem i have with old games is that i cant play games wich already have a newer version wich is why i usually only play a few minutes
I have nearly the same laptop (year older model but still) and you just have to cope, nothing else you can do until you get a real computer that can handle it.
