Any cars/mods that improve fps?

My cpu couldn't handle the tech demo very well unless I stripped parts. Are there any lower quality car mods out there that may improve my performance if I buy the game?

Specs:

Intel core2 duo e6550 @ 2.33Ghz
4x1gb ddr2 ram
Galaxy Nvidia GT640
Windows 8 x64
Old/slow SATA hard drive

Performance with tech demo:

Default settings and default truck 15-25fps
Default settings and stripped truck 45-50fps

 

Not really, I mean, there's a stripped van that would boost your performance the same, but that's all I know of.

 

i'm running beamng on something with worse specs, a laptop too

the best rides for some great fps would be the airplane mods actually.
as for cars already in the game the covet and d15 work well for me, the golf cart also works well.

Maps, I suggest the desert road map from modded ones, its big, not very detailed, but really fun to drive in.
and for maps in the game, the industrial and that green map both tend to lag for me, but the small island and the rest are running okay.
i get about 25-30fps in the covet on the desert map

 

Yeah, your best bet would be to just stick with the Covet and D15. Especially the bolide, the box truck, and the moonhawk just tear up the CPU. The Victoria lookalike probably won't work either. Maps? The less vegetation, the better. Of course, you could also set all the graphics to lowest and disabled HDR.
